  1. 5/5Essential In All Study of Scripture

The Strong’s Concordance is an essential resource for understanding the Bible. Far too many Christians take Bible translations at face value, even though they know that the Bible was translated by a human. When people translate the Bible, they do so by giving their own interpretation. That doesn’t mean that they are wrong. What it does mean is that because there are so many ways to translate the ancient languages of the Bible into English, translators will transcribe what the Bible says in the way that they think best represents what the Bible says. But the truth is, no reader, of any translation can be absolutely confident in the representation that the translators provide. Especially as so many translators only represent the Bible as how their denomination wants you to understand it. Therefore, it is absolutely necessary for each reader to study the Bible from the original language as presented in the strong concordance. I would say it is even highly irresponsible on the part of the reader to not see what the Bible says for themselves in it’s original language. One cannot simply leave to chance what the God had spoken by trusting what someone else has transcribed. It is for this reason that so much of the Christian Church is Biblically illiterate or misguided. The Strong’s Concordance is your portal into understanding what God originally said in scripture. It is an invaluable resource and should not be neglected. I have used it for decades and I can’t tell you how often I’ve been blown away by what God has revealed to me in it and also by how many Bible teachers fail to understand the Bible correctly.

  2. 5/5Goodbye App

After years of using this app, I am being forced to delete it because of the full-page persistent advertising. I can easily accept banner ads on the bottom of the screen, but the fullpage ads lock up the screen. By the time I can delete the ad, the speaker in church has gone on to a different passage. Also, some of the full-page ads presented are totally inappropriate to be seen in a church setting where people sitting next you can see. I hope the authors will reconsider their questionable business practice.

  3. 3/5Nail Twister

I give five stars to the ease of finding passages with the Strong # embedded into the text. Click on the # and the definition comes up, close the definition and the text remains so one can continue reading or search for another passage. But to search for a specific word in a book only rates one star at best. One cannot search individual books of the Bible, but can search groups of books, such as gospels or Paul’s epistles. Two problems. 1. The search will bring up words within words. Search for “age” and message, marriage, bondage, advantage, etc. will be highlighted. 2. If one chooses one verse to find the definition of the word being searched for, and taps on that word in that verse, you are taken to another page where the definition can be accessed. But there’s no way to return to the word search to check definitions in other verses. Also, the definitions of words are often confusing and difficult to understand. Apparently, the definitions used are from the original Strong’s Concordance. It’s unfortunate that the newer definitions used in the latest Strong’s concordance, which is called the Strongest Strong’s, were not used instead of the original. They are much clearer and easier to understand.

  4. 4/5Ads - problematic ads

Edit: well I looked again and found the add free. Wish it was a one time fee. But it’s monthly or yearly. Yearly does save quite a bit of money. Moved my 2 star rating to 4, only 4 because the app creator needs to understand their audience and understand how bands the adds are to the Christian. It’s like going to the movie theater or a family safe movie and all the movie trailers before the feature are sexual, demonic or laced with profanity. Do better on choosing your add sponsors. I’d honestly pay to have a non ad experience for this app. But as I have yet to find that option, the ads strongly reduce the experience on this app. It’s great for the go when I don’t have my physical book in front of me. But I struggle when ads are popping up all the time and those ads can be distracting or extremely worldly when you might be in the middle of studying. It’s a perfect example of “Satan get behind me”.

  5. 1/5Annoying unrelenting Ads prominent feature

You have got nerve to adhere to masterfully to your advertisement agenda with it continued upstaging it’s virtually impossible to focus and I’d like to use some very harsh language to enforce my opinion but I won’t because it’s not being corrected then it’s your sole intention to annoy and about tdistract I guess you got a full house and you’re all in but as for me I’m beginning to form an opinion about technology your editor might wanna check “God will make Adam a help meet” not a help mate when people are careless they don’t care about their reader I read at the very end of the book of revelation about adding or subtracting words from the Bible you’re offending your constituents and I take it personally when I’m in no mood to waste time in the world as a non Christian my patience is thin with wasting my time and talent no sane person needs to write a review when you’re outfit is allowing this garbage if God really created the light and the darkness you know you can stick this ad grabbing app in the latter where your editor and your money grubbing advertising belongs
