1. 5/5Loving this app for 5 years but it suddenly stopped working

   I love this app, especially the simplicity of it, that’s why I chose it over many other I downloaded and tried. I’ve been using it for 5 years but suddenly the widget feature of the app stopped working? The widget became black and it didn’t go back to normal so I removed it to add it again but there is no option to add a widget for this app anymore, all my other widgets are working. I’ve been waiting for a couple weeks hoping that it would get fixed, so I’m leaving this review in hopes that they’ll see it.

2. 2/5SaaS vs. Perpetual License Woes

   Hi Devs. As a web developer, I have a lot of respect for the effort it takes to create and modify an app for release on the App Store. However, charging a $20/yr subscription for a sticky notes widget/app comes off as a bit bizarre. I would pay $20 or $25 for a ONE-TIME perpetual license, but now I have to move on and seek out a different sticky note app that hasn’t sold their soul to greedy SaaS practices. If that fails, the regular Notes app has a widget that works well enough. Additionally, the top/left side of the default yellow sticky note widget was visually cut-off but unfortunately, I was hit with a paywall before I was able to see if customizing it would have resolved it.

3. 1/5I really wanted to love this app

   This app has great potential, but it falls short because it doesn't always function as it should. The layout is excellent, and the design is very user-friendly. However, the app has a major flaw: it doesn't consistently save your notes. I'll write something, save it, but when I return to the note, it has mysteriously vanished. This is incredibly frustrating, especially since I rely on these notes to remember important things. I've purchased this app twice. The first time, it worked well for a few months before the issues started. After some time away, I let my subscription lapse, but I decided to give it another try, hoping the problems had been fixed. Unfortunately, it seems the bugs are still there. I'm disappointed with my purchase, especially since I opted for the yearly subscription twice 🙈 and I really want this app to work as intended.

4. 1/5Pay Wall After Just One Note

   I was very disappointed to see a pay wall after just one note. I understand having a free and a paid version. But having to subscribe to keep more than one note is a little ridiculous especially when there are so many other options out there. The creators of this app should consider adding a few more free features to make people feel the upgrade to the paid service is worth it without feeling forced into it.

5. 4/5Takes a while to update the widget

   Pros: The app comes with a lot of text customization option. Support for iOS 14 widgets is great. Cons: It takes a while for the widget to be updated after modifying it in the app. I have to click the widget and open the note in the app multiple times before any changes take place in the widget. Hopefully the devs will fix it. Edit: The issue seems to have been fixed. Changed my rating. I’ll come back and confirm after a few days.
