5/5Must-have
When the print version of Stash-Bot first came out, I thought it was a brilliant idea, but that if I had the print version it would never be in my bag when I needed it. An app version is perfect. The design is clean, simple, and very intuitive to use. It’s also lovely to look at, which is a plus! I’m about to head to a fiber festival next weekend and you can be sure this will be utilized quite a few times while I’m there. The *only* thing I would add/request is something about weight (of the yarn, in oz/grams). As a spinner, it would be awesome to plug in: I want to make a sweater, in my size, at 6 st/inch, and then get to choose from different yarn weights (in either familiar “yds/100g” increments or more accurate yards per pound (ypp)) and then have returned the weight of fiber I’d need to purchase, to spin at that grist and knit the specified item.

5/5Great Addition to My Knitting Apps
Thank you so much for the Stashbot app. I work at a yarn store and I can estimate yardage but this app gives me the confidence to sell the correct amount for the intended project. With Stashbot I can show the customer what is needed and how it can vary from style, size, and gauge. The absolute best part is the ability to scroll and watch the visuals change instantly. I will definitely encourage all iOS users who knit to get this app and use it every time you shop for yarn for their project in a shop or in their stash. Home run, Hannah and hubby!!!

1/5Good Idea Poor Execution
The idea to calculate the number of yards (and thus skeins) needed to do a project is great. The problem is this app is too limiting: • You can only select 3-8 stitches/inch • There’s no feature to enter the yarn weight (ex: 8oz yarn is significantly thicker than 2 oz yarn) • The calculation doesn’t determine number of skeins, only yardage. If there was a way to enter how many yards are on the skein of choice, the feature would be complete. • The calculation of yardage is incorrect. When I finally got a comparative pattern, the app was significantly higher: ———————— Manufacturer: ———————— 60”x70” Blanket — 13 skeins — 8oz weight yarn — 1 stitch/inch — 28 yards per skein — 364 total yards ———————— StashBot ———————— 60”x72” Blanket — Feature not available — Feature not available — Feature too limited (used 3 stitches/inch) — Feature not available — 2060 total yards (divided by 3 to determine 1 = 687 yards) So Greta idea, but poorly executed. And too not have a free trial to figure out this app didn’t do what I needed was just money flushed.

5/5STASHBOT ROCKS!
II usually knit my sweaters and socks without a pattern with the help of the book, “Knitting 101” for general size and measurent info. My sweaters are usually raglans or circular yoke so once you understand the formula with these types of sweaters (and that goes for socks, too) I find a pattern is not necessary unless the pattern I am knitting has a color work chart I want to use. I use this app as a jumping off point when I need to know how much yarn I will need. Very helpful indeed. Many thanks, STASHBOT, for developing this app! ❤️🧶❤️

5/5So great!
I love this app! It's so useful for when I come across some yarn & want a rough idea of how much to purchase for different project types (I'll round up to the next full ball & add some extra for yarn-heavy stitches like cabling). This app has greatly simplified my yarn planning. It's much easier & quicker to use in an LYS than trying to navigate Ravelry's extensive yarn/pattern database before making a purchase. And, the intuitive, uncluttered, and pretty interface make it a pleasure to use.
