  1. 5/5Fantastic!

    This is the first app I’ve ever reviewed. I had to go out of my way to leave a review for this app because it’s absolutely incredible! It’s simple and not bloated, but has all of the basic functionality one would need to track expenses for going on trips with others. The best two features though 1) you can use it offline, and 2) you can get the pro upgrade for a very reasonable one time fee (and it is so worth it)! I stopped using Splitwise because a subscription for a simple calculator to split up expenses is stupid — especially when you rarely use it (basically only when going on vacation). PLEASE never switch to a subscription model. As long as this app isn’t a subscription, I’ll continue to recommend it to everyone I know!

  2. 5/5It’s a trip changer

    I’ve been using Splid since 2018 I believe and my trips have never been easier. All the app was really been done in a users perspective. Other apps are very hard to understand and to use but with Splid you literally just need to add expenses and payments. The UI and UX is amazing (I am a frontend engineer so I know what I am talking about) and the fact that it has no ads on the free version and that it’s not a subscription app makes it even better. I wishes it could have a web version for those who can’t download it or want a bigger UI (tablets or laptops). Anyways thanks Nico this app is awesome! I’ve been sharing it with many friends and some of them even purchased it too. Please keep giving support for new iOS versions 🙏

    A friend and I took a trip to Europe and U.K. recently, and this app allowed us to put in all our expenses, who paid for what, what currency was used, and also to weight our expenses (for a short period of the trip, we had another friend join us, so not all expenses were split 50-50). After I got home and downloaded the excel spreadsheet, I manually checked the figure given for the suggested payment to settle up, and the two figures were within a few dollars of each other - probably due to rounding errors. I will continue to use this app based on its flexibility and accuracy. I’d highly recommend this for travelers who want to split expenses, but who would rather settle up at one time, rather than having to always split the bill at the table or at the hotel.

  4. 5/5My Go to app for splitting expenses

    I used to use Splitwise, but I didn’t want to have to pay to use all the features (especially since we only come across reconciliation situations like this maybe once a year) While the app was great as well, it would limit you to entering in a certain number of expenses a day, using the unpaid version. That was not ideal for trying to reconcile expenses with friends after a trip… it would take several days just to get everything entered in. Splid doesn’t limit you, and I find it to be much more user friendly than Splitwise. We also love the summary feature! This has made our lives easier, and I plan to recommend it to everyone I know!

  5. 5/5Easier than Venmo

    We used to Venmo each other constantly on trips to keep bills accurate, but we would run into trouble whenever we didn’t have cell service & didn’t want to use sketchy Wi-Fi for financial transactions. Or sometimes when we had no service at all! We just recently took a trip and used Splid, which worked wonderfully for us! The currency calculator was a huge help and having it all totaled so we just have one transaction at the end of the trip was very helpful! I also really like that we can save a PDF of trip expenses at the end for reference later. Splid made it easy to correct any mistakes (like when two people unknowingly input the same charge).
