  1. 4/5Great app!

This app has a main page that shows 12 icons/pictures. The child touches one & it displays a photo of the item along with an audio clip of the item. I'm a speech therapist who works with kids with developmental disabilities. Here's my take on this app: PROS: 1) Large, simple photos paired with clear audio clips are very appealing. 2) Randomly rotating picture/sound display for each item helps with generalization. 3) if you shake the iPad while on the main page, the positions of the buttons change locations ...which is useful in determining scanning and picture recognition for kids with developmental disabilities. CONS: 1) It does not label the item. Since the description says it is available in 5 different languages, maybe this function is not working on mine - or maybe the labels are only on the paid version. 2) I have student with Angelman Syndrome who loves this app. Unfortunately, the 12 icons are too many for him to be able to make a deliberate choice. The app would be great for kids with multiple disabilities who need to work on visual discrimination/picture recognition IF it users were given the option to limit the number of choices on the main page. 3) As a speech therapist, I dislike the frog page (although the sounds are actual recordings of frogs, the sounds are too unfamiliar for young kids to associate with frogs) and 4) I wish they hadn't put a turkey as one of the photos/sounds for the chicken icon. For kids with language delays this is confusing - for my students who can understand the difference, I usually make a joke of it, saying "Hey, that's not not a chicken! Get out of here you turkey!"

  2. 4/5Why??

My son loves seeing all the animals/photos and hearing all the different sounds. I like how you can change the settings to 4seconds so if he continues to touch the screen the photo won’t leave. I paid for the subscription to get access to all the pictures plus sounds and NO ads. Worked for a while but now I see adds and he can’t see the other photos. Is there away to fix this?

  3. 5/5Great app to try - upgrade to full version to avoid ads

We downloaded free versions of several similar apps where you click on a picture and get another picture and a sound. This is by far the best for two reasons: 1) the sounds are the most realistic and 2) the pictures are so much better and they provide several different pictures for each choice (so you see several different kinds of frogs or dogs or camels, etc.). We turn our wireless off when our 2 year old plays with it, so the ads/buy upgrade on the screen doesn't bother us, but if you don't like it, upgrade to the full version. For $2, it's a great application for entertaining your kids and teaching them new vocabulary and what some things (like camels) look like when you don't have any nearby ;-).

  4. 5/5My 2yr old niece LOVES LOVES this app

My 2yr old niece walks in to visit me and after I get my hug and a few words in gibberish she points to my iPhone or my iPod ands clearly asks to play her Baby Games. It is adorable. The funniest part is when her mother gets into it with her. It is funny seeing my sister (or any other adult for that matter) getting upset because the toddler didn't press the animal they wanted to hear. I think this game brings out their inner child. I recently got a new iPod and this was one of the first apps I made sure was installed. My niece is learning all sorts of animals. We just recently discovered that they made a color app too!!! LOVE IT! THANK YOU FOR SUCH A COOL APP

  5. 5/5My daughter loves it

My daughter enjoys this App very much. She is 2 1/2 years old and she can spend 30 minutes a day clicking on the icons, seeing the images and hearing the sounds. She likes the animals, vehicles and household images the best. Very stable of well thought of App. Hightly recommended. I must add that this review is for the paid App. Usually the free Apps have ads or other garbage that makes apps unfit for babies or toddlers. I remeber I paid for this App soon after I downloaded it and have been very happy with the purchase.
