  1. 5/5Calendar integration and reminds are so clutch

Super useful clicking the calendar icon and adding a show to your Apple or Google calendar. The reminders a week or so ahead of time are nice bc usually there’s still time to buy the tickets, would be nice if you could customize it even more to reminds you the day before or something, or maybe even a way to integrate w Ticketmaster or AXS and see if you have tickets (or you could mark bought tickets maybe). Cause sometimes I like to wait until last minute to buy tickets in case something comes up, but then it’s possible to miss it, and calendars apps aren’t that great about reminding you about events in the future (or easy to see if you’ve bought tickets already). The reminders are sometimes annoying if I’ve made plans already but overall great. One complaint I had was clicking thru to buy the tickets with Ticketmaster sent me to the site on safari then the app and the app just didn’t load so I had to go on Google, and I’m guessing your app doesn’t get affiliate credit for it unless it’s directly thru the links (tho maybe clicking it then buying tickets in some point in the future counts).

  2. 5/5Most useful app on my phone

While there are other apps on my phone that see more use, Song Kick is the most helpful. I always hated how unless I constantly stayed on top of socials for all my favorite bands, I occasionally missed tours. Never again will I miss out on a reunion tour, or miss a show if a band I like is opening for a band I don't know or don't particularly care for and their name isn't on the poster. Even if they're added to the lineup week before the show, I'll find out. Sometimes it recommends concerts I couldn't care less about, artists I don't track and aren't similar to my listening tastes, but that's fine too. Almost like a news feed, it gives me an opportunity to be like, "Oh, [band name] is still touring? Good for them!" Sometimes I add different states/cities to my tracked area to see if there are any shows I would travel for. I also had the opportunity to follow a band to three shows in a single tour recently because they're a favorite and I made day trips out of seeing them both locally and in neighboring big cities. Gone are the days of me scrolling thru a list of tour dates trying to see if a tour is coming to my area. Now I get a notification when a tracked band is coming to town. I've been using Songkick since pre-covid, and I was so happy they adapted for online shows during the pandemic. I only attended one personally (my favorite part of shows is feeling the music in my bones, you don't get that online) but seeing that the music community was doing its best was wonderful. If this app ever went defunct I would legitimately cry. Not an exaggeration.

  3. 5/5I love Songkick. there are a few things they could add :)

Songkick is one of the best things ever created. As an autistic person who doesn’t use social media, it helps me stay in the loop. I love it SO MUCH and as a person who says live music is and incredibly large chunk of my life, I am eternally grateful to y’all for building it. Some small recommendations or things that could be added: -The ability to see which artists you’ve untracked. -The ability to review artists that import from your music service before you start tracking them, and/or the ability to pick and choose which get pulled over before they are added to the artists list -The ability for fans to suggest that a band may be on tour and/or enter show dates (on behalf of artists who don’t use Songkick) -The ability to enter a band as a “must see” IE you would be willing to drive outside of your recommended location if they played (useful for bands who have broken up or are on hiatus) -The ability to toggle festivals on and off, and for the “must see” feature to be able to include festivals from other areas that one might travel for

  4. 2/5Great app and service, but…..

So I love this app, I’ve probably had it for over 4-5 years now. During the pandemic I used it a lot less, but now that everything seems to be opening up again I thought I’d see what it lists, except…. The dang thing constantly crashes! I’ve tried updating it, opening it from the app drawer, the App Store, and searching but it always crashes. Might load like 5-6 artists, then freezes and crashes. Often it doesn’t even load anything before it crashes. I’m on an iPhone XR (latest IOS version too), but it still crashes. I actually saved a screen recording video of the behavior, if a developer wanted to see what I mean. Like I said I love this app, but if it doesn’t even open it becomes kinda useless. If this gets fixed at some point I’d gladly improve my rating, figured this might be the best way to let someone know of the problem though.

  5. 1/5No way to reach customer service , all attempts in vain

I have been trying to reach out to customer service at Songkick with no luck. I purchased 2 tickets on Sept 26 for an upcoming event and have received no confirmation emails, nor does it show anywhere that I have purchased these tickets except on my bank statement. I’ve tried reaching out because every time I choose the option to submit a request, I get looped back to information to reach out to the vendor. The problem is, I cannot find the vendor. On your app, it simply says prekindle and my bank statement says Granada, however, neither of those are on your list of vendors so I cannot access my tickets. This does not seem very user friendly, when I cannot even email you about a ticket I purchased through your site. I would rather have dealt with this issue quietly through email, but leaving a review seems to be the only way to reach anyone. Very frustrating !

This one goes to 11. We've given Songkick a serious tune‑up. The app is faster across the board, with quicker loading, smoother scrolling, and snappier transitions on every screen. We've polished the design so everything feels more consistent from tab to tab, and modernised the foundations so we can keep shipping improvements at pace. Plus a long list of fixes to make the whole experience more reliable. Go find your next gig.
