  1. 5/5Unique outstanding design app!

Sometimes I run into to something that is so nice that it is hard to put into words to describe or express it to you. This for me is one of those times. I hope I can come across to all of you with my Heart ( why ) because the Developer put His Heart into this well unique Designed App! This is a app to help you, your family, and myself. It’s a Health app about UV Rays that we face everyday of our lives. These rays are good for us and bad if you get to much of them at to many times I guess I can put it. The Developer has put a great deal of love and work into this app you can tell that by the many updates you can see done. I thank the Developer for putting this app out for you and myself to use. 2. 5/5Sola is a WIN from a dev that cares

Out of testing 8 different free and paid sunlight apps, this one, Sola, is the winner. It brings helpful, tailored information for me to understand how to optimize my sun exposure, while paying close attention to health effects from UV. What it brings: detailed data and graphical analysis, syncs with Apple Health, has multiple widget options for your screens, Apple Watch compatibility, and even vitamin d tracking from nutrition. While Sola has a lot of use for anyone who wants to safely tan their skin, I primarily use the app to track my Time in Daylight and help my body regulate circadian rhythm. Being outdoors and sunlight exposure have significant effects on mental health, and I use this app to tell me when it’s a good vs bad time to go outside to improve my mood. What’s really nice is that Sola also sends me safety notifications on UV exposure, a feature I used a lot over a weekend trip to maximize my time outside without getting burned. As a final note, it’s clear from the attention to detail and how frequently this app is updated that the Developer cares about this app, which is another plus in looking for a sunlight app I can use and count on for the long term.

  3. 5/5Actually useful for daily life

I didn’t expect to use this app this often, but it’s honestly become part of my routine now. The design is clean and easy to understand, and I really like how it tells me when it’s a good time to be outside and when I should be more careful with sun exposure. The reminders feel helpful instead of annoying, and everything just works smoothly. You can tell a lot of thought went into the experience. Definitely one of the better health/lifestyle apps I’ve tried recently.

  4. 5/5Great Tanning App!!!

This app has really improved over the years and really happy that it calculates Vit D3 generation. Would really like to suggest that the session includes a “pause” and “continue” button. Also, a different alert sound would be nice to have when the session is over/need for applying more sun block when you’re using or not using the flip notification alerts…maybe a short burst of seagull calling sound for more sunblock applications and a longer burst for the end of the session? Thanks!

  5. 5/5Detailed & Customizable

The only sun tracker app that has enough detail and customization to actually be useful for Vitamin D. I do burn a little sooner than it says, but it's predictable. I just set my threshold a little lower and it works great. I love being able to see the average vitamin D over the last few months so I can catch myself bed rotting. I don't absorb supplements well so I have to do it old school. This app helps me get enough sun without overdoing it.
