   I was worried that an app that offers all of this information for free would have an add play every five minute but I was wrong. This app has everything you need to make informed choices with the stock market. I really like the fact that I can add stocks that I currently am on a different platform to my portfolio on here to have a better understanding of how my stocks are performing. I also really like that I can view a stocks dividend payouts for over the past ten years. I’ve been slowly shifting my portfolio to one that focuses more on dividend payout and this app tells me everything I need to know to choose the best stocks. You can see when previous dividends were paid out and how much they were. This is great because some apps only show the current dividend percentage but that is only part of what you need, it’s great that I can view the stocks history to see if they consistently pay out, how much the percentage has fluctuated in the past, and even when each stock has declared new payouts and the expected payout date. So my final thoughts are that this app is great for people who might be new to stocks or want a clean and easy way to track your current portfolio without having to sign into your accounts all of the time.

2. 5/5Love it, but need to fix voiceover

   I love this app. In the past, I was using the dividend tracker app and it was connected to my Fidelity brokerage account. I was always having trouble with it and I would always have to re-link my brokerage account. When I got snowball analytics, I’ve never had a problem. It gives me so much great information about my stocks and I love how it gives me my total return for my stocks. I also love the calendar feature when it tells me what payments are coming. The only con I have recently as I’m legally blind, and I use VoiceOver to use the app. For some reason, in the last week when I click on the screen, it doesn’t read what’s in the app. I don’t know if it’s a glitch or with an update something has changed. All my apps that I use the voice over works perfectly, but in the last week for some reason snowball is not allowing me to read what’s on the screen. Hopefully you guys can fix this problem or I’ll have to switch to another platform.

3. 2/5Not good for manual imports

   The two main issues I’m having with this: 1) With newer IPOs there’s seemingly an issue with the app detecting the correct ticker. This seems to especially be true with recycled tickers which are more common than you’d think. Reaching out to support they basically gave me the instructions for swapping a holding which I already explained to them I did those steps and it’s still not showing the right holding. 2) importing functionality needs a lot of work. With all the data breaches going on I don’t want to link my brokerages directly. I’d prefer to download a CSV and upload it so I can protect my account info. The spreadsheet they provide makes it to where it’s a royal PITA because it’s almost like they’ve never downloaded files from brokerages before and the way they want the headings and fields structured makes for a lot of work. For example my brokerage typed out the event You bought xyz. You sold xyz. Those are fine but then I also have events where I received dividends. That’s fine too but what about reinvestments? I guess that’s considered a buy? It just seems like they need more experience with what’s these look like and how you could make this process have less friction.

   I’ve been using Snowball for a while now, and what really sets it apart for me is the dividends section. It’s clear, straightforward, and makes tracking my dividend income a breeze. Seeing exactly what’s coming in and how it stacks up over time not only keeps me motivated but also gives me a sharper view of my portfolio’s performance. Hands down, it’s my favorite part of the platform. Beyond that, Snowball does a solid job of keeping portfolio management simple. Rebalancing is smooth, the interface is intuitive, and it helps me stay aligned with my target allocations without overthinking. That said, it’s not perfect. Some of the data feels incomplete, and I think the tutorials could use a big upgrade. A set of video walkthroughs would go a long way in helping new users get the most out of the platform.

5. 5/5The perfect tool for investors

   Having reached a higher maturity level in my investing, I’m at a stage where I’m invested across multiple kinds of accounts including brokerage, CMA, Roth IRA, Roth 401K and more. This makes tracking long-term and short-term challenging. Snowball has been a perfect tool to track all my investments across multiple portfolios, see daily, weekly, monthly, and annual performance metrics, buy/sell history, and even more importantly, dynamic goal setting to help you benchmark yourself against your long term and short term goals, with clear insights in how to course-correct. Highly recommend Snowball for both experienced and novice investors so you use your most valuable commodity (time in market) to your advantage with informative insights to your performance.
