   Apparently does not use motion detection of apple phones. Also apprard to have a fee problems filtering mechanical type noises. Such as same room electric heaters, airplanes and other outside vehicles. None the less, fifth slerp app I have tried. Best overall recordings of snoring and other mammalian noises occurring in the sleep area.

   This app is worth the money. Without the app I would snore most of the night and woke up still feeling tired. I set the snore control up and when it detects snoring it plays a sound to wake you up just enough to stop snoring. It can record the whole night or just when you snore. You have to adjust the volume in the app to just to where it stops you snoring, but not too loud to wake you all the way up. Make sure you start it on your days off. It took me a couple days to get the volume just right. I recorded my first two night without the snore control on. It detected 92 snoring episodes for the first night for 2 hours of snoring. Last night I had 5 snoring episodes that it stopped for 15 seconds total.

3. 1/5Unfair business practices

   I purchased this app years ago to utilize all the features and now I can’t access full features because they’re telling me I need to buy a premium version that costs $32. They should grandfather in people who previously paid for this app and use this app to monitor their sleep. So every time they need sales they’re just going to put out an update and make features accessible behind a pay wall? No thanks. I will no longer use this app and will be looking for another reputable app.

   My husband told me I occasionally snored and I was eager to address the issue. Snore Control offered a potential solution- gently waking me up when it detected me snoring. Rather than placing my phone on my arm, I stuck it under my pillow. After a few nights and subsequent adjustments, Snore control seemed to detect my snores! It woke me up just enough to stop the snores- Until one night, when the gentle vibration was notifying me that I was snoring- but it was detecting my husband’s snores not mine!

   Do not wear earbuds to fall asleep with since this app will set the volume to ear damaging levels when the stop snoring is triggered. Whatever is being played is set to max loudness and does not reset. This is even with the sound set to None and the loudness slider at minimum. Also touching that slider in settings kicks the actual volume to max if something is playing. It must be set back down outside of the app. When triggered during the night, it’s a terrible, jarring and hearing unsafe way to be awakened. I keep thinking they will fix this with app updates but no. Additionally, the companion watch app is hit or miss on vibrating. The app would be great if it didn’t blast my ears if I happen to fall asleep listing to something and it is triggered.
