1. 1/5Do they hate us this much?

   Implementing an app that has customer service replying to our grievances “tried logging out and back in?”. Transportation number now has us guardians practically blocked. What are we supposed to do? My kid has now been late twice in the first two weeks due to the blind trust that this app would be able to do the bare minimum. I had the map telling me the bus was a neighborhood away while it was sitting right in front of me. Should I really need to be buying my child an AirTag ? We live in the Texas heat and this app has the audacity to present itself as deserving to have this many flaws. I’m tired of having to be forgiving on the shortcomings of this excuse of guardian resource. If they’re going to block communication with transportation, they could at least have a batter functioning app. We shouldn’t beg for it to work. We shouldn’t be adapting to it, it should evolve.

2. 5/5Peace of mind ! 🫶🏾

   I absolutely love the SmartTag app and how useful it is for parents. Being notified when my daughter gets on and off the bus, when she’s dropped off at school, picked up, and even how close she is to being dropped off gives me incredible peace of mind. As a parent, that level of awareness is priceless and makes every school day feel a little less stressful. While I know the app could use some minor fixes here and there, I truly believe many concerns come from parents wanting more without fully understanding how the system is meant to work. Overall, SmartTag does exactly what it’s supposed to do—and it does it well. I genuinely appreciate how it keeps me updated and connected to my child’s daily routine. I’m very thankful for SmartTag and the reassurance it provides!

3. 1/5Fix live map!!!

   Since last school year around February we have not been able to tack the school bus on the live map. The screen stays completely white and empty and shows absolutely nothing. I used to rely on your app for accuracy and to be able to track where the school bus is but now I find myself not really opening up the app anymore and just making up my own assumptions of when the bus will get here like if I am a mother in the 1900s. Seriously though please look into why the live map is no longer available to us that is literally the only reason I would open up the app to track my children, I believe that is the whole point of this app , right?! So please let us see the live map and where our children are on it not just “so&so was picked up at 3:53 “etc.

4. 4/5Manual load notification

   Please add a push notification option for when a student is manually loaded on the bus. Our school district has a policy that once the student has been manually loaded (i.e. forgot their Smart Tag) five times (“strikes”) in one semester, then the student cannot ride the bus until they find/buy a new Smart Tag. The problem is that there is no system in place to notify parents, until it’s too late and your student is denied a ride home. A simple push notification would be extremely helpful to keep track of manual loads. (Yes I know I can login each day and see how my student loaded.)

5. 1/5Frustrating linking glitch

   I downloaded the app and entered my son’s information. At first, it said “student found” and showed that he was linked. But immediately after, the app acts as if there are no linked students at all. I’ve tried logging out and back in, reinstalling, and even checking my account details, but nothing changes. This makes the app unusable for me, since I can’t actually access my child’s information. Hoping the developers fix this issue soon — it seems like the link works for a second and then disappears.
