  1. 1/5Hard pass

Just wants your money. No option to try it out. Any app worth anything is confident in their product and will at least offer a trial to let it sell itself. Anyone just wanting your money up front is shady in my opinion. Would definitely suggest to pass. Update: developer says "We understand your concerns regarding our pricing model. We strive to provide valuable features to our users. While we don't currently offer a trial, we invite you to explore our app's capabilities to see if it meets your needs. Your feedback is greatly appreciated and helps us improve." Again, it’s like buying a product based on what the developer claims it can do without any actual evidence that it will work for the user needs it to do. How are you supposed to explore the app’s capabilities if none of the of those “claimed capabilities” actually work before you shell out money just to be burned. A couple days of trial is absolutely necessary in today’s world of terrible apps that don’t perform like the developers claim. Hard pass.

  2. 1/5Confirmed scam per ChatGPT

I was surprised to find that after buying an electric stove I had to also pay a monthly subscription to the app that runs it and then after I did that, I couldn’t add my wife on on her iPhone. I went to ChatGPT who researched this and told me I was the victim of a scam instead of SmartLife smart home app the title of this app. The real app is called Smart home and there’s also a Tuya app they are both free. They are the ones we’re supposed to be using but is this scam one that comes up first on the search? I would love for the people to visit me at my home in Texas so I could give them a special present please don’t spend any money on them and if you have any doubt check with ChatGPT. Why does Apple do it and allow this to happen? It’s because they get a percentage of the subscription fee that we pay. Real nice.

  3. 1/5Too complicated - won’t connect to internet

The app constantly says our internet connection is weak. We have three different internet connections to choose from. We have all sorts of 4g and 5g internet connected devices in our home: TV, internet; including remote access to work from home, Alexa, ring doorbell, myQ garage door opener, and all sorts of things. This device constantly says “weak internet access”. It is gas valve for our BBQ. Does anyone have their gas BBQ indoors? App and connectivity are useless. Contacted company for help three times through the app.. No phone number or email address to call or reach out to. Help is through the app. Time to dispute charges from my credit card company.

  4. 1/5What a scam

I have to agree with Ilovedabs710 review completely. At least products like ring have an excuse. Storage space isn’t free. There is no reason to spend this kind of money on a thermostat and then not be able to do basic functions like temp control and schedule control. The real scamy part is the fact that limited should be replaced with no functionality unless you pay for a subscription. That’s a joke. I will be replacing these. I strongly urge others to look else where for better and more customer friendly products. Even the response to the other review was a joke.

  5. 1/5🚨READ🚨

I understand having to pay for an app, and that’s completely fine. However, I believe all apps should offer a free trial so users can determine whether the app is a good fit before committing financially. It’s frustrating to be required to pay before being able to see how the app functions or whether it meets our needs. I would highly recommend reconsidering this approach and offering a trial period, as it would create a much better experience for consumers and likely encourage more people to subscribe with confidence.
