5/5SkyGuru: Your In-Flight Calm Guru
SkyGuru is a fantastic app for anyone who feels anxious while flying. What sets it apart is how it explains everything that’s happening during your flight in real time—from route changes to turbulence, weather patterns, and even sounds you hear on the aircraft. Instead of leaving you guessing, it gives clear, simple explanations that make the experience feel predictable and controlled. For nervous flyers, this is incredibly reassuring. Turbulence feels less threatening when you understand why it’s happening and how normal it is. The app almost acts like a knowledgeable companion sitting next to you, quietly walking you through the journey. It turns fear of the unknown into something understandable—and that alone can make flying a much calmer experience.

5/5The BEST Flight Companion. Period.
After witnessing the trauma of 9/11 from mere blocks away, flying has been the most chaotic and insurmountable aspect of my life. Discovering Alex, this app and his accompanying program(s) have not only revolutionized my understanding of aviation, but the complex emotional layers behind crippling flight anxiety. The myriad of tools (inflight and on the ground) feel like they are tailored to my specific fear(s) of flying - the level of detail and relatability is remarkable. After 25 years of battling flight, each trip is becoming easier to navigate. Myself, my wife and my inner child are beyond grateful for this new found freedom that wouldn’t be possible without Alex & SkyGuru. Thank You (x 1,000,000) Sincerely, Erik Björklund

5/5MUST download if you fear flying
So I am a terrible flyer. I get extremely anxious and the worst thoughts possible come through my head when traveling via airplanes. Take off is actually my biggest issue and where I endure the most fear. I was on my way back home to Chicago 3 days ago and has a pretty terrible anxiety attack to the point where I thought I might die (literally). It got so bad that I wanted to rent a car for the way back and drive to Denver. Well I spent the entire weekend reading about airplanes and my fear of flying and someone stumbled into this app. I can say with confidence that this app saved me from going through the same thing again. The app takes its time to explain to you every single step an airplane takes from the moment you get in to the moment you get out. It tell you when you should expect turbulence and how bad it will be. It explains to you why it’s happening and so many more things. I will continue to use this app for the rest of my life I can GUARANTEE YOU. It told me the altitude of the plan, the pitch, the roll, where in the map I am, it would tell me when I’m crossing points of interests like major airports and cities. It couldn’t get better than that. Yes, the app does have some minor flaws. It could be worked on and made better but I’ll still give it a 5 star rating. It did for me everything that I needed the app to do. Thank you developers for creating a tool that will help me fly from now on.

We are celebrating a biggest update of SkyGuru in 10 years! We’ve added a Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) section to the menu — it covers using the app, flight safety, and fear‑of‑flying topics. No more paying for each flight — you can now purchase a monthly or yearly subscription and use SkyGuru without limits! The yearly subscription unlocks the world’s most comprehensive fear‑of‑flying video course — about 10 hours of invaluable material on aviation, the psychology of flight anxiety, and how the two are connected. SkyGuru is now also an aero‑guide! Throughout your flight you’ll get fascinating facts about the places you’re flying over right now. AlexAI — the fear of flying AI therapist trained by Alex Gervash — has become even smarter and more accurate. Working with it is almost like chatting with Alex himself. Prepare for your flight by learning everything you need from AlexAI, practicing self‑regulation exercises, and much more. In the “calm down toolkit” section we’ve added numerous exercises to keep your nervous system regulated — right during the flight. Audio guidance from Alex has been added. When SkyGuru recognises each flight stage it will offer you a voice message from the creator. NEW! Turbulence Meter: Record the g-forces you experience in everyday life — whether you're walking, driving, or riding in a car — and then compare them to the g-forces (shaking) you feel during turbulence on a plane. The result will surprise you and help you keep things in perspective! Have a nice flight!

A major update. SkyGuru now speaks your language — and flies with you like never before. • Now in Italian, German, Spanish and French — the entire app, the voice assistant (in the author's own voice) and the calming podcasts. • Turbulence forecast map: calm and turbulent zones in colour, right on your route map. • Lift indicator — a reassuring, visual show of how firmly the air is holding your plane up right now (it factors in speed, altitude, flaps and pitch). • Your flight statistics. • New 11-lesson "Fear of Flying" video course — the first lesson is free for everyone, then one lesson unlocks at the start of each new month of your subscription. • AlexAi has become an even more experienced fear-of-flying therapist, available 24/7 right in the app. • AeroTour: you can now see on the map where a landmark is relative to your plane — it gets highlighted on the map. • A handier menu: features are grouped into "Weather & turbulence control", "Flight control", "Self-control" and "App control". • We split the flight-route map and the turbulence-forecast map — now they are two separate, clearer maps and two menu items. • Improved the algorithms that route around restricted airspace (Ukraine, Iran and so on). • Plus dozens of smaller refinements — all for a calmer flight.
