1. 5/5The App That Makes Exploring Skincare A Smooth Experience

   I’ve only started using the SkinSort since the beginning of the year but this is truly something I wish existed when I first got into skincare. I love it even more now that there is a mobile app especially when I need to scan a product I’m curious about in person. There’s so many useful features in the in regards to comparing products, researching ingredients, a routine/diary tracker, finding cheaper dupes and an extensive database. And the best thing is that it’s all free! There are some additional perks with the subscription but I wouldn’t say that’s required to fully obtain all the great insight and benefits that this app has to offer. One of my favorite things about the app is how clear and organized the ingredient breakdown for each product is. The symbols for the ingredient help you clearly indicate the main traits to know for it which are very useful for detecting potential irritants. I also am a fan of how each review by users is very authentic which is something that I feel similar apps are lacking. If you’re someone who feels easily overwhelmed by not knowing where to start, they also offer helpful blogs that breakdown the need to know essentials. Wether you’re starting out or you’re a skincare junkie, SkinSort should be your first choice! Kudos to the developers they’ve done an awesome job with this app and , I really hope they keep up the good work!!!

2. 5/5Please Try!

   OVERVIEW: Great app: includes ingredient breakdowns, skincare tailored towards specific concerns, and product dupes based on pricing and ingredients. I go through an obscene amount of sifting through product reviews to search for the perfect fit for my skin routine. On a whim, I thought I’d try a free trial of this app. I’m really bad at canceling subscriptions, but didn’t cancel and paid for the full year (there’s a subscription refund available) and decided to keep perusing SkinSort. What I’ve found is a really kind, and articulate little skincare community. Lately, I’ve been really wrapped up in building reviews as well as commenting on others’ reviews too. What I wish for this app moving forward is that reviews remain unbiased and NOT incentivized. I’ve been influenced enough and I just want honest reviews. 3. 4/5Its an amazing app, but not sharp enough

   Old review: The app allows me to have a community to learn from in skincare, as well as being able to manage, schedule, and get yo know my own routine more thoroughly. But the app seems like its running on two chopsticks at times. It seems like the app is not getting any troubleshoot updates, and i have to close the whole app at times because it gets stuck. Even at times doesn’t display saved products or data like its supposed to. I thought the app was maybe slow because i had not payed for it yet, but then decided to try the premium and few months later issues have risen. UPDATE: the developer team seems to have decided to take action on various of the bugs the app had, and also seem to have taken feedback well. As i surf the app it seems a lot smoother and snappier, doesn’t get stuck on loops anymore, and doesn’t make many mistakes anymore . The routine schedule program seems to be running better than before, not mistaking when i need to use a product in case i forget. Overall seems like they have taken action to actually work on the app and make it feel like its something you payed for and would keep, adding new layouts, metrics, and slight new features. Love the improvement, keep it up team!

4. 2/5This could be the best app! But

   This app has some serious potential to sky rocket. However- it doesn’t work. I try to load the front page- doesn’t work- the recommended content- doesn’t work- blank white pages, devs. Some serious bugs that need to be fixed. The only thing I could get to load is the korean vs western page. Also when beginning a profile, definitely make it a point to add all the skin concerns to the initial profile creation ; currently in order to get all of the skin issues on your profile for accurate product recommendations (if it worked), you have to go to your profile> settings> skin. You can access way more issues there than initially. Which isn’t streamlined for user experience. During initial sign up as well, you should add the product preferences- even at beginning level - bc some people can have known allergies regardless and if they’re truly unsure they can click unsure. It’s missed the mark by having it hidden in profile. Just a hot tip too- in the future if this does blow up, which i’m sure it will, when influencers get on here and become verified, there should be a way to ensure they are not getting paid promotion for products and they remain even-handed. Hope to see improvements but for now I am uninstalling- has insane potential.

5. 5/5I LOVE this app

   I love this app so much I actually went out of my way to leave a review. I’ve been on it non-stop. You can filter what products you want by which retailers you want to buy from, request specific ingredients you want or DONT want in your skincare, specific spf levels, skin concerns, etc. It gives a whole product breakdown though I do suggest a little bit more research if you wanna know specifics about certain ingredients. You can compare different products, and if they don’t have a product listed you can copy and paste the ingredients and it can give you a product breakdown. And I’m using it for free. I’m sure the Premium has great perks for you (scan products with camera, compare multiple products at once, specific recommendations for your skin)- will definitely be purchasing it.
