5/5Best App for Hunting Use
I’ve been utilizing the shooter app for several years specifically for hunting. Recently the app was updated to improve overall functionality but lost some of the key features that allowed quick target solutions. The app developer listened to a specific group of highly knowledgeable users feedback and incorporated a field mode that provides the absolute best interface to quickly produce accurate solutions with minimal effort, increasing your time to engagement.

5/5Best ballistic app
This is the best app for real world practical shooting solutions. Developer is by far the most responsive to user feedback and the app is so much easier and simpler to use than other options for real world practical shooting. Wether out hunting in the field or shooting targets at distance this is what you want.

5/5Used for years
I've used this app for years in all my hunting rigs and long range shooting. Tweak the different impact ranges and this is perfect every time. It recently upgraded with new view makes it even more user friendly and deadly accurate

5/5Love the new update!
Was becoming extremely worried about this app becoming obsolete, but sure enough a major update that fixed all of my concerns and then some. Congrats developer and excited to get this app back in use!

This update from Apple will improve the functionality of this app. No new features are included. - Redesigned Wind Angle dial.
-
2.0.0
- Several bug fixes and performance improvements - UI polish throughout - Dark theme now supported - Redesign of the calculation output screens (solution and table) - Redesign of the velocity calibration tool, also now outputs the 'fit' of the calibrated velocity to your observed drops - Removed graphing as the feature just wasn't used (contact us if you feel otherwise) - You can now duplicate firearm and/or ammo profiles by swiping right on them - Moved application settings into the app (launch from gear icon on the main screen) - Changing unit settings will now automatically convert the values throughout the app - Redesigned wind dial, look angle and azimuth acquisition screens - Move Angle removed and replaced with L/R direction - IMPORTANT: Wind Angle/Direction is now calculated relative to the inputted azimuth. Prior to this, the user was expected to determine wind angle on the bullet based on the direction of fire manually. This change allows natural input of the wind direction as measured cardinally (N/E/S/W) so long as you enter your firing azimuth. If you're using o'clock mode, this won't apply and wind angle must be entered relative to the target. Key takeaway: make sure you enter your firing azimuth if you're also inputting wind, and when you input wind direction, input it by its true cardinal origination. - New Target Cards feature which allows you to get shot solutions for multiple targets simultaneously, and save those target properties for use across all your profiles.
-
2.1.0
New Features/Changes: - A new Field View solution screen option which is similar to v1's solution screen (toggle between them in the menu on solution screen) - Revert back to a zoomable trajectory table - Added a "Speed Precision" setting to choose between decimal or integer wind/target speeds - Added a "Output Precision" setting to choose between tenth, hundredth or nearest dial for shot solution granularity - Added Wind Speed 2 to calculate a second wind speed (low/high wind) Bug fixes: - Powder Temp metric conversion issue - Fix for non-functional Default Calc Display in Settings - Density Altitude was limited to -1000 ft (now -5000ft)
-
2.1.1
- Fix incorrect unit output for vel/energy in Solution screen when using metric units - Add windage 2 solution output in Target Cards when wind 2 is != wind1 - Added new setting for Field View (in settings) to lock inputs on initial calculation - In the Trajectory Table, linear drift now reports left bullet deflection as negative values and right deflection as positive. This does not change hold-value convention, only how the inches/cm drift is reported.
-
2.1.2
- Bugfixes
-
2.2.0
- Minor bugfixes - New ballistic engine (Native) option (see Settings->General) which has support for Aerodynamic Jump - Switching between Advanced and Field views is now more prominent in the Solution screen
-

- Fix correction factor being rounded to tenths in the firearm profile UI - Calibration tab now shows predicted drop for convenience - New ballistics engine - Introduced BC scaling calibration
-

- Drag Calibration now scales drag directly rather than manipulates the BC -- mathematically equivalent, but the BC remains unchanged this way.
-
2.3.3
- Metric bugfixes
-
2.3.4
