1. 4/5Don’t waste your time like I did For NOTHING!

   This Company wastes your time! I was lured by an offer for public opinion polling paying $10 an hour, it being an election year they promised they would have plenty of hours etc, the catch…. Attend an unpaid training session and then take a quick quiz! But after jumping through their hoops, I wound up wasting at least five or six hours waiting patiently by my phone for them to text you that a shift is available. After the first week of answering their texts maybe a few minutes after they’d text and the shift always unavailable when i get to the app to accept it, I started getting frustrated and reached out to ask about it and was prodded to keep trying! Make sure your notifications are turned on! So the next week I waited with my phone in my hand the entire time which can be anywhere within a three hour window, But of course there are days that No shift is posted and there are times they notify outside of that time frame, but after being ready to go straight to the app as SOON as I receive the notification, and realizing that the shift is closed as soon as the message arrives, I gave up, i let the app remain active though and for the next two weeks i did still attempt to catch a shift but alas! ITS IMPOSSIBLE! They just string you along! It’s a JOKE that isn’t funny! Hopefully i will save some from spending their precious time trying to chase this SKAM! They unsurprisingly didn’t write me back when I told them I was going to write this review and uninstall their app! They know when the jig is up and when people have been pushed too far! What weasels! Steer CLEAR!

2. 5/5SHIFT SMART IS A SCAM. BEWARE THEY WILL TRY NOT TO PAY YOU FOR YOUR WORK!

   In the month of March 2022 Shift smart ran a Circle K campaign and the promotion was that if partners worked before the 20th of March they would be payed a $100 bonus. I worked at Circle K through Shiftsmart twice on March 12th and twice on March 15th and once on March 16th. The Shiftsmart app is very faulty and low quality and will not work correctly unless on a WiFi connection making it difficult to clock in upon your shift as Circle K has no guest WiFi . When I called support to inform them of the difficulty clocking in, the guy on the phone instructed me to go ahead and work the shift you chose in the app and then message management and they will insure that you are paid. Well on the 12th of March I was able to use an EMPLOYEES hot spot and clock in and out that way, but on the 15th and 16th this was not possible so I was not able to clock in so I worked any way and then messaged management as I was informed. They promised me through numerous emails that I would be paid, but they have NOT payed me YET! Nor have they paid me the bonus promised for working before March 20th that I should be guaranteed for the document day I worked on March 12 where I could clock in. I emailed shiftsmart and informed them I will be contacting a lawyer if I am not paid. They said they would pay me and then erased my history from their app!! I will be seeking a law suit for unpaid labor.

3. 3/5Convenient Side Hustle

   I have worked about 70 shifts on this app and what I find most beneficial is that there is a high demand for work every day (at times I’ve gotten up to 6 or 7 shifts in one day) as well as the opportunity to deposit your funds into your bank daily. What I find challenging is that often times when I am turned away from a site (which is okay because they still pay you) the support hub won’t even recognize that I am even checked into a shift so i can’t let them know that I got turned away so I end up checking out and having to explain why and not be paid. Very inconvenient. Also, without my knowledge, I was opted in to onboarding new partners. I had a few shifts where I had to have a shadow partner shadow me and they and I completed our task lists, yet I have never been paid the bonus $5 and in the app, I keep toggling to opt out yet everytime I refresh it opts me back in which is an issue because I have to choose to either 1) basically shadow someone for free or 2) cancel the shift and bring down my reliability which isn’t okay if you are trying to reach silver or gold status. The biggest gripe I have is that there is no support line to call or actual person to talk to so the chances of getting any of your issues fixed is slim to none simply because messaging support only really helps with checking in issues and payment issues (not including the $5 bonus) but all in all it’s a decent way to make side money.

4. 3/5No Support For Workers

   I began working gigs on this platform for less than 2 weeks. I’ve been to the Circle K located on London-Groveport Rd. and have completed multiple shifts and have had a great experience everyday except for today. An employee here took it upon herself to bogard my entire food prep area, and overall job. I was on time and attempted to begin my tasks from the app but this lady made it impossible because she had all three food bins already out and on trays and ready to be put in the oven she had all of the labels printed for each item. I’ve been trying to reach out to someone to let them know what the issue was since my shift started at 430am and it’s been impossible to get ahold of anyone or even to find an email address to reach out to someone there. I’m pretty sure that the employees who work for the gas station aren’t there to do food prep whatsoever and she’s one of those people who want everyone around her to think that she’s the best employee there who the most knowledge on how to do everyone’s job as if it’s going to benefit her at the end of the day. The manager at this store is the absolute worst and she’s hard to approach, she has a mad, disgusting look on her face the entire time and I tried to speak to her a few times the day before but she was short, she made it clear she had no interest in what I was saying and I noticed she treated the actual Circle K employees a lot different!

5. 5/5Simple, quick way to make some cash and kill time

   I honestly was impressed by this app. It makes perfect sense, you fill in and do your tasks solo, there’s coworkers at the location but other than that, the app essentially holds your hand thru every step (which is very good since it keeps you accountable and on time). Depending on the store, your shift can be fast paced or small batch/ normal pace. It’s a really great app and I highly recommend it for anyone who’s free and looking to just kill some time while helping out these neat convenient stores. The pay is good, you get paid to work at a gas station so it isn’t gonna be super phenomenal - the work isn’t hard either so it works out good for everyone. One issue I’ll say is sometimes the app will tell you to prepare like 56 items in one shift (impossible btw) it’s usually a glitch and it’ll show the items needed to be cooked by the next shifts (imagine cooking breakfast and lunch at the same time, not good for the store since the food gets soggy and not good for you since you’ll be paid the same to do the job of two people). Setting a default deposit account will initiate a withdrawal of whatever you’ve made to that point, which annoys me since I didn’t want to initiate a withdrawal. All that said, very good program!

   Next off none of the listing show in my area. I ASKED CIRCLE K, DOLLAR GERNERALS, AND JAY C IN SALEM AND ALL SAY THEY WORK WITH SHIFT SMART YET THE CLOSEST THING SHOWN IS 29.3 MILES AWAY! WHICH WOULD COST MORE IN GAS THAN I WOULD MAKE! I HAVE BEEN IN CONTACT ASKING FOR HELP FOR 2 WEEKS. This is ridiculous. Next off none of the listing show in my area."Dollar General orientation is now available in the app. It's 100% remote, takes about 25 minutes, and you'll earn $10 for completing it."WRONG!
