1.5
Version 1.5 adds two big things. ● AI Animation is brand new. It doesn’t just move randomly anymore, but generates motion with a clear direction, and you can fine-tune the ending pose, intensity, intent, duration, and more. ● Studio settings also got a major upgrade. What used to be a few fixed presets is now much more adjustable, with better control over lighting and backgrounds. ● This release also supports iOS 18, so it covers more system versions.
-
1.6
v1.6: Mesh Gradients — Because Your Promo Deserves to Look Expensive ● New background style: Mesh Gradient. Comes with a bunch of presets, plus full control over softness, diffusion, brightness, and blob count. ● Too lazy to tweak? Hit "Shuffle" or refresh based on current settings. (I built this mostly for myself, tbh. Heh.) ● AI Animation now runs on Qwen. Let Qwen handle the animation grunt work. Same reason as above — I got tired of manual keyframes. ● Polished some micro-interactions that you probably won't notice but I lost sleep over. ● Refactored code and architecture. The boring stuff that keeps the app from falling apart. ● Am I too lazy? ...aggressively ignores the question and ships anyway
-
1.7
Version 1.7 makes Shell Yeah feel a lot more like a proper mockup studio. It doesn’t just wrap screenshots anymore — now it can handle screen recordings too. And yes, I also sneaked in a Macintosh Classic. ● You can now import both screenshots and screen recordings ● When you import a video, export duration follows the source automatically, and device animations politely step aside ● Added a new device mockup: Macintosh Classic, because sometimes modern hardware is simply too current ● Export interactions and a bunch of small UX details have been polished ● Some internal logic and structure were also cleaned up, mostly to protect future me from present me
-
1.7.1
1.7.1 gives the video workflow a much-needed tune-up: ● Re-importing videos now actually replaces the old one, media no longer wanders into the wrong project, and playback buttons have stopped doing their own thing. ● Also added a bottom timeline scrubber, so scrubbing through a clip no longer feels like a trust exercise.
-
1.8
Version 1.8 is here, and one device was clearly not dramatic enough. ● Added Multi Device layouts with 2, 3, or 4 iPhones ● Supports iPhone Air and iPhone 17 Pro in Multi Device projects ● Replace the screen image for each device individually ● Redesigned the Paywall page with a cleaner feature carousel ● Split Lighting and Environment controls for easier scene tuning ● Fixed a few small issues and cleaned up some copy
-
1.8.1
Version 1.8.1 is a fix release based on 1.8: ● Fixed an issue where video assets could not be replaced. Weirdly, this used to work just fine ● Improved video export reliability to reduce cases where exports became empty or static videos. Stability wins ● Improved the watermark display experience for Pro users on app launch ● Paywall now supports first-month-free trial messaging. More free-trial moments may pop up from time to time ● Fixed several UI details and localization issues
-
1.8.2
Version 1.8.2 mainly fixes display issues on the Paywall page and a sync issue where Pro benefit information on the device page could be out of date.
-
1.8.3
v1.8.3: Further refined how subscription prices are displayed.
-
1.8.4
1.8.4 is here: ● Added Dynamic Island control, show it or hide it as you please ● Updated iPhone Air and iPhone 17 Pro models with cleaner details ● Added the new White Card model, minimalism doing its little victory lap ● Export now remembers your last settings, because repetition is not a feature ● Polished a few model, material, and localization details
-
1.8.5
v1.8.5 is a solid mid-sized update: ● Added MacBook Air 13" model. Combined with Studio Display and Macintosh, that's 3 desktop-style devices now. (Not exactly the main use case, but hey, options are nice.) ● Fixed a swipe bug in the Assets tab when using White Card or MacBook Air 13" — settings row horizontal swiping was unresponsive. Should be buttery smooth now.
-
1.8.6
Version 1.8.6 is here. Your devices no longer have to float dramatically in the void. ● Added Stage mode with cylinder, rectangle, and rounded rectangle stage models. ● Customize stage color, metalness, roughness, position, height, and scale. ● Cleaned up Lighting and Environment controls, plus a new Shadow toggle. ● Polished rendering, thumbnail caching, and project persistence details. More grounded, more studio-like, and just a little more show-off ready.
-
1.8.7
1.8.7 is here, and backgrounds and shadows are finally a bit more obedient: ● Canvas background presets now live in the Canvas Background sheet, with solid, linear, and mesh options easier to find. ● Mesh gradients now support custom colors instead of being preset-only. ● Studio shadows now include softness, intensity, and position options.
-
1.9.0
1.9.0 is here, and your mockups finally got a hand: ● Added Hand mode for natural phone-in-hand scenes. ● Added Light, Default, and Tan skin tone options. ● Hand and Stage modes now switch cleanly without overlap. ● Fixed exported video thumbnails so the hand starts in the right place. ● Polished button states, rendering behavior, and watermark details.
-
1.9.1
1.9.1 brings a more atmospheric visual upgrade, getting delightfully close to desktop-class results! ● Added background light controls, so backdrops can shape the scene instead of just sitting there as an image. ● Polished iPhone 17 Pro and iPhone Air materials and colors, with cleaner metals, antenna details, and edge finishing. ● Subscription cards now show discount badges automatically, so price changes do the math for you. ● Tidied device setup, default projects, and lots of small details to make the creative flow feel smoother.
-
1.9.2
1.9.2 makes it much easier to create several mockups in one go. ● Import up to 5 images in a single-device project, then switch, delete, and export from thumbnails. ● New 5-step undo and redo for rotation, scale, and reset actions on the canvas. ● AI animations now use a calmer two-part rhythm, giving each scene more room to breathe. ● Polished bottom controls, device materials, lighting, and a few debugging details.
-
1.9.3
1.9.3 adds direct editing for uploaded screen images. ● Add a standard iPhone status bar overlay and customize the time area. ● Quickly edit, delete, or add images from thumbnails. Batch settings now carry to new images. ● Improved photo/video picking and screen video import reliability. ● Added a Connect canvas size and smoother sliders across setting sheets.
-
1.9.4
1.9.4 focuses on motion and export polish. ● AI Animation now plays as a more coherent choreographed phrase, with clearer entrances, turns, and finishes. ● Added and tuned richer entrance styles, including push-in, drop-in, bottom tilted slide, side flip, and front pop. ● Motion intensity now has a wider range, especially in Bold mode with larger travel and stronger device rotation. ● Video export now supports 24 fps, 30 fps, and 60 fps, and AI animation exports keep the final resting beat.
-
1.9.5
1.9.5 polishes device controls, media handling, and export progress. ● Device finish, band color, and Dynamic Island controls now live at the top of the Device sheet. ● The Assets controls are cleaner, with Screen Zoom and Rotation combined into one Screen Content sheet. ● Picking an image from the canvas now replaces the current screen, while adding more images stays on the thumbnail add button. ● 60 fps video export now includes a Cancel button for longer renders. ● Export progress toasts have a cleaner clipped rectangular progress fill.

2.0.1
Shell Yeah 2.0 is here. This release brings 3D mockups and canvas design into one workflow, so complete launch visuals can be built in one place. ● New canvas design tools: add text, images, SF Symbols, SVG assets, ratings, badges, and shapes directly on top of your mockup. ● New built-in asset library with NEW, PRO, AI, 4K, Free, Sale, brand badge, rating, and decorative elements. ● New My Assets support for reusable text, image, and shape styles, so common launch elements are easy to bring back. ● New independent scene settings and independent design elements let each image keep its own setup in multi-image projects. ● New copy/apply actions make full launch sets easier to keep visually consistent. ● New 2.0 feature introduction uses real feature artwork for Design, preset assets, style copy/apply, independent settings, device picking, and scene staging. ● Multi Device adds Flat Grid and direct canvas replacement for a single device screen; when empty screens remain, multiple selected photos can fill them automatically. ● Scene bases add Diamond, Capsule, and Text Monument models, with editable material, thickness, bevel, and 3D text controls. ● Fixed reset after pausing a device animation so one tap reliably returns to the initial pose, and refreshed export, Paywall, toast, Settings, and launch visuals.
-
2.0.2
Shell Yeah 2.0.2 expands the preset-first workflow, so polished mockups can come together faster. ● Added 64 built-in mockup backgrounds, grouped into General, Illustration, and Spaces categories inside Custom Background. ● Added new preset styles including Brutalism and Stage, with improved thumbnail-to-canvas consistency. ● Selected preset styles, backgrounds, and design templates now show Pro locks, and the paywall opens directly to the full preset library benefit when relevant. ● Improved background-light performance for image backgrounds and added clear toast feedback for lighting, environment, and background-light toggles. ● Text colors now support opacity, shape strokes can use 0.5 pt widths, and preset text boxes resize more naturally with font changes.
-
2.0.3
Shell Yeah 2.0.3 keeps polishing the 3D mockup, canvas design, and short video workflow. ● Screen video imports now support clips up to 30 seconds, with clearer progress while importing and exporting. ● Added custom app icons in Settings, including extra icon styles for Pro members. ● Added Snow Peak and Magazine preset styles, plus new Plateau and Soft Dune scene bases for more expressive compositions. ● Multi Device projects now include layout adjustment controls for spacing, offset, scale, yaw, rotation, and roll. ● Screen-video exports can now sync device animation with the screen video, either after the intro animation or from the first exported frame. ● Scene Base and Stage detail pages are cleaner, with clearer Back, Reset, and removal actions. ● Custom Status Bar now includes background width and height controls, and Multi Device projects preserve per-device status bar edits. ● Motion preset switching better respects camera poses you adjusted manually.
-
2.0.4
Shell Yeah 2.0.4 continues refining screen-video mockups and short video exports. ● The main canvas play button now behaves consistently for screen-video and image projects: it plays device and template animation. ● Imported screen videos now have their own play button beside the bottom timeline, while canvas preview stays muted. ● Video export can optionally keep the original screen recording audio. If the screen video starts after the intro animation, the audio is aligned automatically. ● Screen-video projects now support AI Animation, so you can generate device motion for recorded app previews too. ● Exporting that device motion is still controlled by the Sync Device Animation option in Video Settings. If you use screen recordings for app previews, update videos, or social clips, this release should feel smoother and more predictable.

2.1.0
Shell Yeah 2.1.0 introduces the new 2D Flat Mockup mode. You can now choose between the existing 3D studio and a new flat workspace designed for cleaner, more direct app presentation images. ● New 2D Flat Mockup mode with its own projects, media slots, style templates, design layers, and still-image export flow. ● New PSD-based template library with people, handheld, scene, illustration, and Progressive Blur styles for replacing screenshots or screen recordings. ● New Basic 2D device layouts for single-device, pair, trio, and multi-device compositions, with layout controls for scale, spacing, and rotation strength. ● New Progressive Blur mockups that use top, bottom, or side depth effects to keep the interface area in focus. ● 2D mode supports text, images, shapes, built-in assets, design templates, and My Assets directly on the canvas. ● Multi-image flat projects can export the current media slot or all media slots at once. ● Improved 2D launch behavior, template previews, export performance, watermark color, and mockup interaction. If you create app screenshot posters, update graphics, social covers, or focused product visuals, this release gives you a faster flat workflow alongside the 3D studio.
-
2.1.1
Shell Yeah 2.1.1 keeps polishing Flat Mockup workflows and background editing. ● New Universe background presets use real NASA and NASA/JPL photography for Earth, Mars, and orbit views behind your mockups. ● Basic devices now snap by top, bottom, left, and right edges, making mixed device groups easier to align. ● Background preset tabs now remember the currently selected background category and show a selected state for the active thumbnail. ● Background fill mode, zoom, offsets, blur, vignette, and brightness now live in a focused secondary page with Reset. ● Preset mockup detail pages now include Reset, so the current preset can return to its default look quickly. ● Selected and locked states are more consistent across background thumbnails, Basic layouts/devices, preset mockups, and the 3D device picker. If you make app screenshot posters, update graphics, or social covers, this version makes layout and background changes feel more direct.

2.1.2
· 30 Jul 2026
Shell Yeah 2.1.2 brings a more complete and faster Flat Mockup workflow. ● Flat Mockups now import screen recordings with canvas playback, pause, and timeline scrubbing. ● Export Flat Mockup videos as MP4 at 24 / 30 / 60 fps, with optional original recording audio and the same watermark and resolution rules as 3D. ● PSD Flat Mockup preview, image export, video export, and project thumbnail paths now use GPU screen replacement when available, keeping exports faster while preserving visual fidelity. ● Project thumbnails refresh faster for complex PSD mockups, especially when reopening Projects after editing. ● Final 2D image and video scaling is smoother, so smaller exports keep cleaner edges. ● Eight new People / Space lifestyle Flat Mockup templates help create more scene-rich product visuals and social posters. ● Four handheld Progressive Blur styles and four dark-lit Hand / Indoor templates add more lighting and depth options for handheld interface shots. ● Basic 2D watermarks stay more readable across small and large layouts, and tilted PSD mockup watermarks sit closer to the device. ● Both the 2D and 3D top bars now show a direct Export button, and 3D project thumbnails no longer show device brand badges.
