   I would highly appreciate if you guys made an update where instead of only showing the people following you the latest log or review of an episode, you show their entire history of logging and reviewing it if it’s a rewatch. I think that would be really useful, it’s the most anticipated update idea of mine (along with separating private and public lists + being able to pin lists) and would encourage me to want to do full rewatches of my favorite shows because I would be inspired to log them more. Other than that, serializd is a pretty solid app, been using it for well over a year now and have even gotten many people to sign up for it. Love the fact that the many cool features are free, only other issue is the terrible ui. My app is constantly crashing and every page takes too long to load. Still one of my favorite/most used apps though, but hopefully you listen to these update ideas, the most important being the log and review history!! One more thing: I really wish you guys added the private account feature ages ago because my sister who introduced me to the app in the first place deleted her account due to there not being a privacy option and I hate not having her on there.

2. 3/5Great for tracking, lacking features

   I’m so glad to have found this app for keeping track of shows I’ve watched (and when I’ve watched them, although those I watched before downloading the app won’t reflect accurate dates). However, while there is a feature to follow people you know and to have them follow you, I haven’t yet figured out the point of that. I would expect there to be a tab/section of the app that’s more like a social media feed - where you can see the updates of people you follow (like you can do with books on Goodreads, for example). I’d love to be able to go to a feed like that and see chronological updates like “[Friend] started watching [Show]” / “[Friend] rated [Show] 5 stars” / “[Friend] wrote a review for [Show]: (review text).” Beyond that, a way to directly send recommendations to your friends via some type of inbox, and have the ability to add shows to watchlists from there, would make it so easy to keep track of things your friends know you’d love. Lastly, easier access to friends’ profiles and their lists, updates, currently watching, would make it so easy to find shows you haven’t watched that people you trust enjoyed. Overall this app is chock full of shows, constantly updated with new episode information (and I love that it can remind you about new episodes coming up and put continuing shows on your radar when they have new seasons coming out), and that is soooo useful! Expanding the features and functionality of “following” people you know would make it 5 stars for me.

3. 4/5End of Year Review Let Down

   I love Serializd but the end of the year review was odd. I watched all six seasons of Sex and the City this year but other shows trumped that viewing simply due to minutes invested. Going by episodes would make sense sometimes. I don’t understand how none of that factored in. My top shows didn’t make sense. I don’t feel this show is used friendly when it comes to watching something logging it and writing a review. I realized I accidentally logged a 7 episode miniseries twice and it was my top watch? I watched so much Seinfeld this year and none of that came up. The half hour programs can compete with the 45-60 minute programs with this app. If it could be more seamless to track shows, log and review comparable to Letterboxd I think more folks would use Serializd. There’s something about the display of information and where it’s kept that doesn’t make it as seamless

4. 2/5what the hell is going on with the stats???

   i had around 3,600 watched episodes on the stats and was dreaming that when i mark criminal minds as a watched show this count would increase to 4k episodes. so, i finally finished the show, and when i marked it as watched the stats went down????!! WHAT THE HELL. i thought that maybe it was a glitch, so i remarked it, and the count became even lower! it was around 2,400 watched episodes for my 77 watched shows. i thought okay screw it i will unmark everything from my watched list and start over. i marked riverdale first, which according to google has 137 episodes, but it was marked as only 35 episodes watched!!!! i found it very, VERY strange but still kept going, remarking everything. in the end i got stats that say that i watched 1,551 episodes and im very disappointed. i doubt that 77 shows that i watched have only 1,551 episodes. for example, only greys anatomy, shameless, criminal minds, pretty little liars, gossip girl, private practice, how to get away with murder and the good doctor have 1,560 episodes total. the other 69 series obviously dont have -9 episodes.

   Title. - This app desperately needs a way to like reviews easier; add a like button on someone’s diary list and/or allow us to swipe through someone’s reviews so I don’t have to tap and open every single individual review. - Add the release date to the log page so you can see when the episode came out while making your review. - Allow us to swipe through episodes so I don’t have to waste time tapping on so many buttons just to log a show. - add a “skipped” button for episodes as well as seasons. - A lot of the genre tabs just give you an error or repeat the same 20 shows endlessly. - Duplicate shows for lesser known properties cannibalize ratings. - Some shows just aren’t on here or are difficult to find if they’re not English or Korean. - More options for banners on different sections of your profile would be nice. - The ability to choose your own posters is absolutely phenomenal, it’s why I'm still on this app instead of finding another. If you’re going to move to paid at least grandfather in this option for people already using the app. 🙇 - Being able to create your own lists is great too. - Your stats page, the “paused”, “skipped”, “dropped” options are great, along with your “favorite shows”, and “currently watching” sections on your profile. Maybe add 1 more slot for favorite shows? IDRC about that but it’d be nice. - The UI aside from what Ive already said is pretty great too.
