  1. 3/5Good app.

Not sure about those that complain about having to pay for the app and then a subscription for data. As a professional meteorologist, I understand that's how the game works. (I wouldn't want to work for free to make and support an app, and have to spend out of pocket to maintain data feeds either). Great way to natively view model data on the go (if you want free, try websites). I would love to see the ability to trim the domain for models (so you aren't downloading the entire domain) and the ability to download an entire run with a tap.

  2. 5/5Recommendations for future updates

It’s a really great app I like using it for multiple things, but I do have a few recommendations that I’m hopeful we added into the future as new features. 1. Surface Fronts 2. High and Low pressure symbols 3. be able to change the color of land for not just for the United States; but for all countries and continents. Also able to change Lake River and sea color.

  3. 1/5Abandoned?

Uninstalled a couple of years ago and just now reinstalled. I clicked the "restore purchase " link and was informed I would get an email to restore my purchase. Never got the email. Uninstalled again. Abandoned app?

  4. 5/5A must have app for Met's

This is a well designed program bringing Many different weather model’s into a single app that was designed for iOS from the ground up. Intuitive and innovative, Seasonality Pro provides quick access to weather model data with brilliant graphics an quick response. The only unavoidable down side would be the heavy data usage by nature as with all model crunching programs. On WiFi, there is no end to what you can display a a very quick speed. I actually bought the app at a ballgame and started using it over cellular data first. It worked great. Maps where generated several seconds. Animations a bit long but worth the wait. If you need a bit more, theres also the VIP program which includes recently popular HRRR. If you use AWIPS, IDV or McIDAS, this is the app for you. The map overlay’s were well thought out. If you don’t like a set map display, you can even create your own. This is truly a prosumer or better app right from version 1.

  5. 3/5Had it for years, but now…

When I launch it, it crashes. No updates for two years, apparently they want you to buy Seasonality Go for $10 now and I already paid for this app. It was great, before the crashing issues.

  • 1.9 · 25 Feb 2026

    - Update weather model data source. - Now requires iOS 17.6 or later. A best-effort has been made to check as many model variables as possible to make sure existing map layers load on the new data source. However, there may be some that don't show up after the switch. For map layers that don't show up, try to re-add the map or map layer that is exhibiting a problem.
