1. 4/5Fun but frustrating

   This is a fun game, great graphics, you can really get bye ok without dumping money into it. I like that it’s simple to play so you can concentrate on the field more so then searching for the right button. There’s a decent choice of player types and formations to work with and some nice kits to use. As far as the cons though it seems the gameplay changes depending on your opponent. The AI is inconsistent. Some games my players will run into open space then look to pass but other games the same players will move back and forth at the same place until they get tackled. In close games when trying to get a late goal players will play it backwards killing any chance for z comeback. And the AI for the forward wings is ridiculous. They always just run down the side until they get tackled. And to many times they run into the tackle. Even if they have a low dribble rating. Also penalties are given inconsistently depending on your opponent. It’s almost best not to upgrade any of your players because I watch level 2 guards out race level 6 speedsters. And low level defense win 50/50 balls from behind my higher level players. It’s also frustrating when a player running after a long pass just stops for a moment then runs again only to be late getting to the ball. Even when these things benefit my team it’s still annoying. I’d like to see more consistency with the AI but I still play a lot so it’s a fun game but could use some tweaks to make the games more consistent no matter the levels of your opponent.

2. 4/5Good game but I have some ideas for improvements

   This is a fun game with a really good concept, there are a few frustrating things though. When you advance a league you should get a one time prize or box of cards so that you have a chance to upgrade your players, otherwise it takes forever to upgrade them and then it takes just as long to become competitive in higher leagues. When you go up the leagues quickly your players quickly fall behind and end up being 3-5 levels behind everyone else’s players and it’s impossible to win. Also some of the animations are a little strange and can end up hindering your play. PKs are a huge problem in this game, pretty much anytime there’s a tackle in the box it’s a PK. This isn’t fun for anyone. I also wish there was some more customization for your captain such as new hairstyles, new cleats, and even tattoos. You could put these in boxes or special boxes and would keep people interested, and you could add new things to the game besides players that create a power creep. It seems impossible to get super players, which isn’t entirely a bad thing, but I have 3 accounts 1 in arena 10, 1 in arena 9, and 1 in arena 7, and haven’t gotten a single super player. Anyways I think these could be huge improvements to the game wich would keep people interested and elevate this game.

3. 3/5Occasionally fun, usually aggravating

   It’s certainly an addictive game, but mostly because it’s so frustrating and seems designed to make you feel like you were sooo close to winning. The AI is brutal - my players will be running and I try to play a thru ball to them but the defense is SO much more reactive. Players never step to the ball on offense. On breakaways they always choose to shoot from outside the box instead of running in a bit farther, and I lose the ball multiple times a game because my players choose to pass when no one is open - doesn’t matter what the player type is. Also had a hilarious PK loss where the opposing player just tapped the ball down the middle and my goalie put his hands up after a moment pauses, lifted his foot, and got megged. It was actually funny but indicative of the serious deficits in AI. The slide tackle function is terrible - it should be a button that you can hold when you want to tackle and then gets recharged over some time once you release or do a tackle. Or you can tackle as much as you want but it happens immediately and the dribblers are better are going around the tackle. Current system is terrible. Beautiful graphics and animation. Sooo close to a 5/5 but the AI is just too awful to give higher than a 3.

4. 2/5Fun For A Bit

   Massively pay-to-win. Event tourneys are cool in concept until you’re matched with someone who has put in either plenty of hours or plenty of money (probably the latter) and can have one player run through your entire squad because he’s 10 levels higher than you. Drawing comparisons between yours and your opponent’s AI—even outside of tourneys—makes your players look like they react and think like a Sunday league compared to the brutally superior and simply unfair opponent AI despite no apparent level differences. I’m not sure how you find better keepers, but I’ve noticed other players have different ones. If you get Taylor, I’d just delete the game as you’ll concede more than you’ll ever wish. If you wanted a keeper worse than Kepa and David De Gea combined... well... that’s Taylor. However, the penalty system is well done though and I’ve found myself thoroughly enjoying when a game goes to pens even when I lose simply because of the intensity, and I’m pretty sure this is because there aren’t any stat advantages, so Mr. Maxed-Out-His-Credit has to play without his monetary advantage. I have many footy games on my phone, this by far has to be my least favorite one. Not a bad game per say, but there exists a myriad of better options from this one. Some AI fixes to raise player IQs higher than those of tadpoles and for them to actually follow their dotted paths and a true matchmaking feature could greatly improve this game. Until then, 3/5 for me. TLDR: AI is poor; matchmaking is nonexistent; penalty shootouts are quite redeemable.

5. 1/5Pathetic, meant to lose

   I concur with the latest review on the AI. There is the illusion that you are playing other players but most of the time you are not because nobody wants to play this awful, lopsided match after the first two skill leagues. For example, with players 3-4 levels higher than the opponent, when they slide tackle and take possession from you, the player that committed the slide tackle is able to get back up and steal possession from you EVERY time even if your player doesn’t fall. Try slide tackling the opponent, your player never gets up in time and often never steals possession even on clean successful tackles. I made in game purchases, what a mistake. I thought it would help me maintain progress through the professional league but lose to team level averages of 1-2 like levels don’t matter. You can easily distinguish the reduced aggressiveness of your offense once you reach professional league. They simply won’t play offense and you are usually outnumbered 3 to 6 in the offensive zone at all times. Needless to say they are attempting to lure you in to purchasing more as you will question whether your player levels are too low. Let me help you all before you make the same mistake, it does not matter one bit. Level 10 player will still lose to a level 2 opponent once you reach professional league. This game is an underdeveloped quick scam app that is exciting for the first hour or so of gameplay. Inconsistent refereeing, AI, and performance.
