   Overall I believe that this is a great app. Part of the issue I was having may have been due to my own error. I uploaded 80+ pictures that were automatically placed into the book and when I went to move them around the app kept erroring out and closing. If you upload with each page rather than all at once it run much smoother. Layout options are nice just wish there was a more custom way for layout. Beyond that it seems to be a great app. Will update review once product is received

   First time working with Saal. Received a voucher for $150 for a photo book, thought I would give it a shot. Being a professional photographer, I frequently build photo books and order prints from various sites. Saal’s app was hands down the most frustrating when it came to designing the actual pages. They have a lot of options, so I will give them credit, but changing one minor thing led to everything changing. For example, on the cover of the book. I wanted a very simple large title, with a small “By (blank)” underneath. When I added the original title, everything was fine. As soon as I attempted to add the small subtext, the entire layout of the cover changed and added a huge white box, then put the subtext at the top above the title, in larger font. I tried multiple different options to no avail. A similar situation unfortunately occurred when adding photos to the pages themselves. Like I said, hands down the most frustrating out of any photo book design software I have used. They have a lot of great options, which if able to be utilized properly, could possibly be one of the reasons to make a switch. Will definitely be keeping an eye on them in hopes for a more user friendly interface.

3. 5/5WOW!!

   I didn’t expect much from this app as most like it are very glitchy. It REALLY exceeded my expectations! I made my art into a professional photo book and the process was pretty self explanatory. The features were easy to use, pages were easy to reorder, and changing the layout of each page was a smooth process. They had great design options/features that were easy to add or subtract from my project. I had no issue with glitching or lagging, and I LOVED that they had an option for me to save my project and come back to it later.

4. 1/5very buggy and hard to use

   This app seems like it’s great, but when you start to try to use it’s features it quickly shows it’s true colors. The photo album editing features are extremely glitchy, making it nearly impossible to customize a photo book. Trying to make a login caused the app to get stuck in a freeze loop of some sort and I had to restart. The way it crops photos in photo albums makes no sense, and when I tried to fix it the edits didn’t stay. Also the difference between the different ways to make a photo book isn’t clear at all — one seems to make full screen photos and the other makes collages? I have no idea. The company is also deceptive. Steer clear.

5. 3/5It’s good but could be better

   I like the design options but I don’t like that you can’t change the color. At least I wasn’t able to figure out how to if you can. Like if there’s a picture on one side and a solid color on the other it would be nice to be able to pick any color not just the 2 options. It would also be nice to have a favorites tab or something so you can easily pick the same page design and or font for each page if you want them to look the same like I did. It was difficult trying to go in every time and find the same page design.
