1. 1/5Beware when using Ryanair App

   Everything was okay making the initial flight bookings with the App; However, when i tried to check-in on my return flight using the Ryanair App and website they were both down/not working. As i wasn’t able to check-in, I arrived at the airport and needed Ryanair employees to issue my flight ticket, but since I couldn’t check in online they made me pay for my airline tickets again (for the seats I already paid for). As i was with my family and in a foreign country, and it was the only flight back i had to pay. This is also called Criminal Extortion. In spite of my complaints to Ryanair, they didn’t care that their website was down, apparently I needed to take screenshots and find a phone number to call. Either way, beware of using this App. If it’s down or not working Ryanair is happy to extort you for more money. They accepted no responsibility for their site being down. Issue wasn’t my phone either, as i was able to make other payments, uber pickup, etc. without any issues on my phone all that morning/afternoon. Also, I had all the appropriate software updates and whatnot.

2. 1/5Absolutely horrible experience

   You can FORGET ABOUT EASE AND CONVENIENCE making any changes/adjustments to your flight or even simply gathering trustworthy information with this airline. Tried to change a flight but their phone service isn’t available until late mornings (unless you want to talk to a useless robot). Even then once you get ahold of a living human being they direct you to a back to an online chat through the app. In the app you’ll find even a more un inclined inconsistent experience, most tools and services they provide DO NOT WORK. The help I received through their chat was no help at all with them NOT BEING TRUTHFUL about what had and hadn’t been “fixed” on the app. At the end was unable to change my flight due to THEIR waste of MY time and lack of knowledge of their own expiry policy. I ended up requesting a refund only because I had time stamps of all the errors they had on the app even after getting in contact with someone who would supposedly help. Save your time, energy, and money and choose any other airline or honestly take a train or even a boat at this point.

   I don’t think this will Surprise anyone but this airline and its app provide zero customer care. Here follows an honest description of this app and our interaction with It. Tried to change flight, wasn’t allowed to. Tried to book a flight that was online for €50 return, every time we signed into the app it went to €180 EACH WAY! Tried to call but the system wouldn’t let us talk to anyone and hung up every time as the flight was 30 days out. Wouldn’t give us extra legroom seats we paid for and then wouldn’t let us unwind. And finally, at the boarding desk today, told of the bag can’t “stand by itself” on their measure stand and fit, its €75. I’ll add l, it fits when held there AND has been fine not only On the 4 flights with ryanair on this trip but also for 10 years of flying on Ryanair. After 8 flights between my wife and myself on this trip I can finally and honestly say, we will never ever fly ryanair again. They make you feel like a criminal

4. 1/5App is not reliable

   I booked our flight on the app, then received notice to check in a few days before the flight. I continued getting error messages not allowing me to check in. The app then asked if we wanted to upgrade our seats. I already paid for seats with extra legroom, then saw there were seats closer to the front, so I opted to move to the front for €10. It began to error and would not adore me to pay. It then cancelled my seat upgrade. I still could not check in. The next day I tried again to check in and saw that my original seat I paid for was deleted. We had no seats anymore. But I was not refunded. I noticed that there were two boarding passes, missing seats. I said I would seats at the gate. When I arrived, I was told that I was NOT checked in at all. I showed the check in desk our boarding passes and explained the app deleted our seats. She had to call in and then printed up our new boarding passes with two horrible seats, not the ones I had paid for and secured. It was a complete disaster, caused by the malfunctioning app. I lost my seats and my payment for the seats.

5. 1/5Incompatible for blind users, assistive technology screen, reader

   It is very frustrating that although the promise of fully digital bring your own device should mean that every person will have the dignity of being able to access services via familiar systems. That companies do not prioritize, ensuring that their apps are compatible with the underlying technology that would allow assistive technology such as screen readers to access and use in a functional way their services and apps. While this app does seem to announce many things, the labels are completely nonsensical, such as CTA instead of continue for the continue button and swiping item by item using VoiceOver on iOS, frequently get trapped on particular elements that do not allow the screen reader to move onto the next object this would take a minimum of 30 minutes per release to test and ensure that this continues to be functional once fixed, so there is no excuse for companies, not to be ensuring that everyone has the ability to use their apps no

   could not sign in to my account due to faulty 2FA. it is simply ridiculous how they make you get your boarding pass through their app and then provide rubbish support. Utterly unhappy and disappointed

   Absolutely disgusting to force people to download an app in order to retrieve a boarding pass. I will not be flying with this airline again in the future. I will also advise my friends to do the same.
