   I’ve been looking for an ai video generator for a while now. I did. my re search and came cross RunawayMl. I was expecting it to be one of those rip offs that barely work and make you spend $30 to do it once. But this is absolutely free. Every month you have a limited amount of time you can generate art. But there is a lot of limited time. Not like all those other apps that give you 2 - 3 Ai generated arts a day. I highly recommend you should use this. And trust me, this is exactly what you were looking for. Not only is this super good. But easy to use. Two to three buttons pressed and type whatever I want and it makes it for me. It’s amazing! I think it also has great potential if any future updates and the new picture to picture thing coming out. I’m sure that will awesome to! Goodbye, you should download this!

2. 1/5Lacking basic intelligence

   Runway assigns asset ids to each uploaded asset. The id is literally 36 characters long. However you cannot ever reference this asset id without scrolling up endlessly. You cannot copy this asset id except manually as text from the chat cannot be selected to copy. You will not be able to reference assets effectively to verify you are accurate in your directions. Runway is also unable to build from previous wins and make small edits to achieve final results. I spent hours making a story board for a simple 10-12 second logo reveal with four assets. After the 8th iteration the story board was good enough to move to video. the first video was almost there. It just needed some placement edits. And it could not follow simple instructions to modify placement of previously uploaded assets. Instead is started throwing randomly created videos with wildly different effects and text styles like I needed to reinvent a long established logo and graphic standards. Its failure costs you money as each shortcoming requires more credits to resolve. It could not remove sound or music from a video. It could not even extend a videos timing a few seconds. Though repeatedly asked to do so, it came back with videos with identical sound and identical running time. Runway has been a dreadfully frustrating waste of time.

3. 1/5The business model is a scam

   I was looking to add champagne spray to my video. I signed up and paid the $15 for the month. There is no tutorial or explanation that the $15 buys you credits, you don’t get the whole month. This was the prompt I gave: “Replace the weak champagne with a powerful, realistic spray shooting upward from both bottles for about two seconds. Match the lighting, camera movement, and perspective. Keep everything else in the video unchanged.” The prompt was not followed and the two terrible edits didn’t look like anything I had asked it to do. They wanted me to buy more credits because I didn’t have enough for a 3rd edit. I request a refund of credits because the quality was awful, they said no. If they made it and the quality is garbage, they don’t care you’re paying us anyway. To top things off, you can’t buy the remaining credits you need. You have to buy at least $10 more. This business is a scam in my opinion. Seems like they make terrible edits so you have to keep using credits and spend more money. I deleted my account and have requested a full refund from Apple. I will also be filing a claim with the Better Business Bureau

4. 1/5Fun at first but many flaws and scam-ish

   It starts off great. Very fast loading times generating videos in first couple days of subscription. Then it all goes down hill from there as you see and experience the flaws of the AI and what they won’t allow you to do. Like generating a political candidate or celeb is not acceptable. That doesn’t even include how the AI won’t listen to you when giving a specific instructions like “wave at camera and put it back out of view”. That’s only the second to worst part to all of this. If you buy the top subscription you get unlimited generating however you’re still limited to only generating 2 videos to queue, BUT videos generating TAKE FOREVER! The first 24 hours of having this everything took only a minute. Now everything is taking ages! If you want faster generating, even though you have the HIGHEST subscription you must PAY for a faster generating times for EACH one! So although this program is fun at first, it’s AI is dumb and there are barriers that aren’t sexual they stop you from doing. Also feels like a scam if they just slow down your generating speeds after just 48 hours! Go find something else, just as I am.

5. 2/5It’s ok, but not worth it.

   Truthfully, it’s clunky to use, images from my library don’t upload, or I can’t use them as base images because of some unknown bug that just doesn’t let me select new photos. Also, it’s just not worth your money. The videos it generates are decent at best, but if you’re a creator and it doesn’t get your content right, you just wasted a ton of credits for nothing. To be fair to Runway, the whole “credits” to utilize the models are a flawed business model entirely, for the simple reason that if you need to regenerate something, you’re essentially losing money by wasting credits on something it should have gotten right the first time. Also, if I’m paying you a subscription fee, maybe consider uncapping or at least expanding how many characters I’m allowed to type into any given model, especially when I need to waste words putting guardrails up that your models will still ignore. Tl;dr - not worth it unless you don’t care about your money spent regenerating videos over and over to get it right
