  1. 5/5RouteHistory vs GPS Travel Journal

I've been using RouteHistory for a while to track my journeys, and it gets the job done. It has the basics like route recording and mapping, which is great. However, the interface feels a bit cluttered compared to the GPS Travel Journal. One downside is the occasional ads. They're not a deal-breaker, but they do interrupt the experience. Also, there are in-app purchases for premium features if that's something you're interested in. That said, after trying out “GPS Travel Journal”, I have to say it's more polished, user-friendly, and there are no ads or in-app purchases. If you're looking for a smoother experience, “GPS Travel Journal” is the way to go. While RouteHistory gets the job done, the “GPS Travel Journal” is the better app in my opinion.

  4. 5/5Perfect Route Tracking App

Like the title says: the app is perfect. No stupid frills, no ads, doesn’t force you to create an account, etc. The app does exactly what it says it will do and that’s all I need it to do. This app also has a huge advantage over tracking your routes with Google Maps. With RouteHistory you can choose to see every one of your separate routes over time overlayed onto the map. Google does not allow you to do this and it’s genuinely puzzling why they didn’t think to include that feature. 5/5 stars. Straightforward, to the point, it’s brilliantly simple.
