  1. 5/5From a small town barrel race producer perspective

I wear multiple hats, we have a very small team. I take entries, manage warm ups, announce, my husband and I both work the ground and do everything else in between. I don’t own the arena that I produce at, the land owner hires my husband and I. Last night we produced our first run utilizing Rodeo Results and after I figured out the kinks that were my fault, it made life 100x easier. I’ve produced for 4 years, and usually calculating payout and figuring splits take me a fair amount of time. Just being able to click a button and it tell me placing and earnings was amazing. We ran ahead of schedule and it worked great. I only had some contestants express some growing pains over the last week pre entering but it’s NEW. Especially around here, we are one of the little guys in NW Iowa just transitioning out of the pen and paper stage. People don’t like change but they will and are adapting quickly. Once they figured out that they can view everything LIVE as the race is underway I heard a lot of “oh that’s cool”. It was especially helpful for taking pre-entries, especially because we typically run Youth, Open, Poles and will have a NBHA sidepot for both barrel classes as well. I was skeptical at first but it was incredibly easy to use, more people should definitely be using this and I hope more producers, even the little guys, continue to use this moving forward. Thank you for creating this!

  2. 5/5Highly recommend

As a producer, the software is VERY easy to use. My favorite feature is the ability to go back and correct problems (add riders, correct times, add riders to side pots, etc) during the event. We do barrel racing and it has really simplified the whole process. It has a nice summary after your event to let you see all your financials. Our participants love the ability to see race leaders and current draw during the race right from the app. It works best if your participants download the app and register with rodeo results. There support is VERY responsive and will help you through your first event as it’s happening (if you need it). After one event, I doubt you’ll need further assistance. There are a lot of good things already in the app, and after speaking with the creators, I’m excited for what’s next. It will be great to have a record of all my horses’ results right from the app. Try it-the first event is free and the support is excellent. There’s nothing to lose. Once you decide to buy your next event, the price is very fair. It’s less expensive than some of the other options out there and does almost everything I need. What it doesn’t do (yet), I’ve been able to discuss with the creators and they listen to and incorporate my feedback into future updates. Love it!

  3. 5/5Rodeo Results

I absolutely love everything about this app. There’s so many options yet it is a very simple and straight forward app that anyone can navigate, especially those of us who aren’t so technologically savvy😂. If I could suggest ONE thing it would be that there was an option to purchase exhibitions if the producer is having exhibitions. A lot of times the later/est exhibitions are already and always taken due to possibly forgetting or possibly texting the wrong phone number etc. and that doesn’t change someone working late like those who are shooting for later exh. In the first place and they only have the option of an exh that’s 3 hours before the jackpot and might be able to make it that early therefore they lose out on ex. I think if this were an option they limit the amount of exh sold online per horse/rider combination and hold a handful of exh for those who may wish to purchase AT the race. Just some food for thought. The live results is amazing and my suggestion has no negative toward this app just a suggestion.

  4. 5/5Good for contestants

Sometimes it feels like pages load slow, regardless of if I’m on WiFi or 5G or LTE. I like the new way to track horses - that’s neat! I don’t have a registered horse, however, so I had to make up a name. The format for looking up a race is clunky. I think it could be more streamlined. A calendar option would be nice. As a barrel racer, I don’t like that I have to continually click back and forth between the Ds. It’s frustrating. I would prefer to see all the results on one page. And this is just me wanting extra - it would be cool to see the average number of runs per, say ten minutes, live during a race. Or like how long the drags are. I like that it’s an app so that I don’t have to rely on strong internet for a website. I’ve only paid entries a couple times through the app and I want a fan of the experience. I don’t remember why but I think it was, again, something to do with too many pages. I don’t like having a credit card fee but a producer just told me that’s an option they can turn on or off.

  5. 5/5Highly Recommend

As a barrel racer....I am always looking for ways to streamline the process of entering, checking results etc. We are in the world of immediate gratification so no one wants to wait to see how they did. Everyone is on pins and needles until they post. With Rodeo Results.....they are immediately entered. Not only do I get a text with my run details, I get to store that info in a folder so I know how each horse performed without having to go back and look online for the results. I can see an area that might confuse some folks that aren't very phone/app savvy. That is where the tabs say ongoing, upcoming and completed. I had a client ask me to find the results for her Saturday in theory, it should have been under completed but it was under ongoing as they were counting the Friday, Saturday and Sunday as an ongoing race. We eventually found what we were looking for but thought I would l would leave those details in case others have mentioned the same thing. Keep up the great work everyone. I love technology. :)

  • 3.0.5

This update introduces the ability to save a riders BBR (Better Barrel Races) number to their Rodeo Results profile for BBR race reports. When riders save their BBR number to their profile, the number is pulled from their profile when producers calculate race results. In other words, a BBR report will be generated automatically when a producer calculates race results. This eliminates hours of work from producers having to manually creating a BBR report. This also allows producers to eliminate a BBR# field on potential entry forms and sets Rodeo Results up for a future entry system on the app itself. To save your BBR number to your Rodeo Results profile, login or create an account. Upon logging in, go to the “profile” button in the top right corner of the app. You’ll see an editable field that says “BBR#“. Type in your BBR # and save it. Done.

This update is monumental. In this update, we introduce the Rodeo Results Entry System. It’s the first ever entry system to reside natively on a mobile app. This is history for our industry. This has never been done before and we’re the first to do it. Now when you create an account or login on the Rodeo Results App, you can enter events directly on app. Entries submitted are directly imported into the draw manager for producers. This creates a complete and seamless entering process for competitors and producers. This is a big leap for us here at Rodeo Results and for all western sporting events. Future updates to the entry system are to come. SQUAH!

  • 3.1.1

This is another monumental update. In this update, we’re introducing payment processing. We’re the first western software platform to install payment processing natively on a mobile app. Now, contestants can enter and pay their entry fees directly on/through the Rodeo Results Mobile App. Go wild!

  • 3.1.2

  • 3.1.4

In this update we’ve added a search bar in the draw section of of events. Now instead of endlessly scrolling and potentially missing yourself in long draws, simply search your name in the search bar to filter the draw. This make it easier to find your draw number when draws are posted. We’ve also included a couple of small changes in the producer software side.

  • 3.1.5

This update is our most innovative one yet. We call it OMNi (om-knee) The following is included in this update: - The Rodeo Results Registry & Repositories (a fully digital equine registry) - Live Career Stats & Metrics for Horses & Riders (via profiles) - Sire & Dam Tracking (when registered via rodeo results) Why OMNi is significant: Rodeo Results has built and combined our own equine registry, database, and event software into one platform. Riders can register their horses for free and track career stats with producers who use the Rodeo Results software. Because of this unique combination of a registry, database, and software, Rodeo Results can track metrics no other platform can. No reporting of results is necessary, stats are automatically tracked. Just register your horse and participate with producers using Rodeo Results. Dive deeper into OMNi here: rodeoresults.com/omni/ This update was a work of art. It was done with love and care for our industry. We hope it shows through our work.
