**that stars arent working for some reason - if they dont show up - i rate this app 4/5, but it has the potential for 5/5!! Just downloaded this as an alternative to Roadtripper who recently doubled their membership fees and downgraded their app - see their recent reviews, its not good… Anyway, this Roadie app is a decent replacement but it definitely has some improvements to make. Granted I am comparing to Roadtripper which was originally very good; now not so much… Would love to see these changes in Roadie: * calculate trip cost based on mileage and gas (according to your specifications for your car) * be able to see hotel and attractions descriptions and photos within the app and not have to view each one in google maps or other map app -Developers, is it possible to link up tripadvisor somehow? *calculate the cost of the trip using current avg gas prices, your vehicle specifications, miles of trip and cost of things along the way like hotels, tours, food budget, etc * have a more detailed waypoint list, with mileage btw each waypoint for your trip. * sort waypoints by date, * and be able to toggle waypoints on and off. Otherwise, i think its a really good alternative. Lets give Roadie our money so they can make this app better than Roadtripper!! :)

5/5This app is fantastic
Dear developers- I’m sorry that a lot of people don’t read the instructions to learn how this app works then blame the app when it doesn’t magically lay out the route for them. We planned our trip last year from Oklahoma to BC, Canada and back with this app. 5,325 miles and 50 stops on the route. Sure we had to learn how to use the app, but once we did it was fantastic. We knew how long it would take us from point to point, and how far it was which was a lifesaver for that trip. We bought the lifetime membership which paid for itself in the form of stress relief, time and organization. I’ve tried a LOT of road trip apps and they’re not nearly as good. You can always add advancements for improvement and I look forward to those. I’m happy I found this app.

4/5Great trip planner, needs a few extras for RV travellers
I love the interface. Very easy to use and can search for just about anything I type into the map search. The smart insert feature is also great when adding a new point to your route in the middle. It gives you estimated miles and times between your points so you know how long/far you will be traveling any leg. Your can save trip routes for planning more than one trip at a time (2 in free version, infinite in purchased version). As I pull a travel trailer (RV) for my trips, there are a few things I would like to see added and be able to test in the free version before I purchase the upgrade. 1- allow specs of my travel trailer (length, height, weight, propane on board) to be entered so the app can map around any low clearance bridges, weight limited roads, propane limited tunnels, hairpin turns, etc. to be sure the road mapped is safe for travel with my RV. 2- ability to identify specified miles and/or time travel down a route so that a campground/stay search can be done in that area. Currently, I take a guess by sight, add a random stay point to the route and see how long/far it takes to get there. If wrong, remove point, guess further up or back and repeat until my miles/time is close to what I want to travel in a leg. It’s functional but could be made much easier if the app can just pin a point in the route at how far/long you want to travel as an option. With these 2 functionality adds, this app would be worth purchasing for me.

5/5Great if you understand the product
I’ve used this to plan 6 trips so far and it’s been great. There are other more expensive apps that have more features, but this has the basics of what I need. You can map out major stops, search and add stops along the route, and click the next stop in the route to feed coordinates to the map app for navigation. I am paying the monthly fee as I’ve been evaluating the app and will be switching to the long term subscription next. I will say that, after having paid for the lifetime subscription the support is no longer responding to an issue I am having. Until I figure this out, do not add an image to the trip name. It will result in the browser-based view of the trip to not show.

5/5Road Trip Saver
Was trying to plan a road trip from Illinois - Oregon - California - Oregon - Illinois and this app was just perfect for giving us the ability to plan out stops for fuel, find great rest stops along the way and even some crazy attractions. I would recommend this app to anyone who is wanting to plan any kind of road trip. On my trip back to Illinois, I was able to follow Rte 66 and see all of the attractions that I have been wanting to go see. The only thing that I had to watch out for was when finding the next stop on my route was that the ‘Smart Add’ feature sometimes inserted the stop in the wrong place so it had me going backwards at a couple of points. But other than that, this is a great app. Thanks for making it happen.

HORRIBLE APP. TRIED TO UNSUBSCRIBE BUT IT LITERALLY WILL NOT STOP TRYING TO CHARGE MY CARD!! CHANGED THE CARD TO ANOTHER ONE WITH NO MONEY SO I WASN'T PAYING FOR IT. TRIED TO UNSUBSCRIBE THROUGH THIS APP AND GOOGLE PLAY, WHERE IT DOESN'T EXIST ON MY SUBSCRIPTIONS, YET IT'S STILL TRYING TO CHARGE ME. BE AWARE!!!

I've been using the Roadie app for years. I've probably planned a dozen road trips with it. I love it. Or at least I used to. It took a step back in the latest update. They've added unnecessary extra steps and clicks to create, edit and regroup routes, which seem counterintuitive compared to what it used to be like. The 'notes' box is obscured by the keyboard now, so I can't see what I'm typing. Is there any way to uninstall the update and go back to how it used to be?
