Improved Ripple generation so personalized story insights appear cleaner, more consistent, and easier to read.

Added Siri and Shortcuts support for quick navigation in Ripple. You can now use system shortcuts to open the latest stories, saved stories, browse categories, or jump into search. This update also includes small navigation foundation improvements for future iOS integrations.

Ripple widgets got a major upgrade. What's new: • Widget redesign. The small, medium, and large widgets are rebuilt from the ground up with cleaner layouts, larger imagery, and a more editorial feel that matches modern iOS. • Smarter review prompts. Ripple now asks for App Store reviews only at a real moment of value, and only after asking if you're enjoying the app first. Not loving it? You'll be routed to a feedback path instead. • New "Share your feedback" option in Settings. Tap it any time to tell us what would make Ripple better. Your message comes through with app and device info auto-attached so we can help faster.

We improved Ripple’s review and feedback experience, polished restart onboarding so returning users don’t see first-time prompts again, and added behind-the-scenes groundwork for smarter related story features coming soon.

Introducing Related Coverage: when you open a story, Ripple can now surface other recent stories connected to the same topic so you can follow the bigger picture without searching around. This update also improves related story matching so suggested coverage feels more relevant and useful.

Browse is redesigned. Instead of one long grid, stories are now sorted into categories you can swipe through — Politics, World, Technology, Science, and more. Scan a topic, then tap the category to see everything in it. We also smoothed out the swipe between stories in the feed.

The Ripple takes center stage: a refreshed App Store listing that spells out what makes Ripple one of one — the only news app that tells you how each story affects you personally. Plus small fixes and polish.

Fixes a launch crash introduced in 1.6. Thanks for your patience — this one's on us.

Scrolling the feed used to have a dead zone — you'd move your finger, nothing would happen, then the story jumped to catch up. We rebuilt the gesture from scratch. Stories now follow your finger from the first touch, and you can even grab one mid-animation. Also updated the subscription plumbing under the hood.

Fixed a first-run onboarding step where new users could get stuck on the demo story screen without realizing they needed to tap "See The Ripple" to continue. The demo now shows clearer guidance and progress so you can get into the app faster.

Ripple now works with VoiceOver. Story cards read as one sentence instead of six disconnected pieces, and you can move between stories without swiping, which was impossible with a screen reader before. Every button has a spoken name. Text scales to the largest accessibility size without anything getting cut off. If you use Reduce Motion, the splash screen, the loading animation and the page transitions now hold still. Ripple analyses say up front that they are written by AI. If one misses, you can tell us. Also fixed: the analysis screen was rebuilding every section dozens of times a second while text streamed in, which drained battery and made screen readers lose their place.

You can now try Ripple before creating an account. Answer the profile questions, watch your first Ripple get written about your own life, and only then sign up. For returning readers, the app now opens straight to your feed instead of holding you on the login screen while it checks things over the network. Also fixed: swiping to the next story no longer leaves a sliver of the previous card stuck at the top of the screen, and BBC stories now come from their US edition, so your feed stays focused on news that affects you.

Housekeeping release. Subscription status now syncs more reliably between your device and our server, and we cleaned up several small bugs behind the scenes.
