   Excellent App. I have been looking at various tabla app for iPad and getting the right sounds and tuning that is in sync with tabla shruthi to play with vocals and instruments has been a challenge. The free version has only a few basic taals with no variations. But the ones there are a joy to play with. Also note that the free app does not support inter app audio and AU. But does run in background. In spite of many limitations, which may be by design constrained in free version, I am rating this 5 stars as the best free tabla app. Yes intrusive ads are frustrating, but once the tabla is playing it does not intrude.i felt it would be remiss if I did not write this review to give the app the credit it truly deserves.

2. 5/5Amazing app! Missing fillers

   Love all the various versions of the taals. It would be even more amazing if there was some kind of an intro/filler/ending similar to synthesizer keyboards. It would make the stanza endings/song endings sound even more real! Hope, the developer will notice this review and maybe give some thought into it! :)

3. 4/5Rhythm with Tabla

   I find it to be the better tabla app. I use the free version and am thinking of buying it. I downloaded several apps but eventually I remove them because they don’t t do it like Rhythm with Tabla. I take tabla lessons and I go back to this app every time when I want precision and speed. There are 10 praakars In it which is foundation for playing tabla. Much appreciated

4. 3/5Great sound but uses battery in background

   Likes: The sound and usability of this app is great. Really enhances my sitar practice. Dislikes: As reported by the iPhone battery monitor, this app has been using lots of power in the background, even though it is not active and not playing sound. I noticed that my battery has gotten a lot worse since I downloaded it, and this must be why.

5. 5/5Great app, does what it says.

   Great and affordable Tanpura/Tabla app. Only features it's missing are a fine tuner for a pitch in case your instrument is off (flute or Harmonium for example), and also some of the town parade drones are on a lower and of the octave available, would be nice to have higher tunings available as well.
