  1. 5/5Absolutely Amazing!

Thank you, thank you, thank you whoever came up with this and put this together and made it available. I have never been so enthusiastic about an Orthodox app as this one. It’s as if you can design your own prayer corner and utilize the prayers you otherwise would have to draw from multiple sources and put them all together in one spot. I’ve spent all Sunday afternoon putting my Icons and ancient prayers together on this beautiful application. Now I’ve got all in one place my favorites such as the Optina Elders prayer. At Daybreak prayer of St. Sophrony. The Enter O my King prayer of St. Dimitri. Multiple favorites to Christ God and Theotokos. Prayers to my patron saint and my guardian angel. And added icons all of my own choosing that I’ve loved and saved in my photos for years. And as if that wasn’t enough I now have all on one app the daily things I always read such as the psalter and scriptures and the prologue for the day and the calendar (new, but old is also available). Just blown away by this and it is truly drawing me into the life in Christ like no other app has done. Maybe it’s just my personality but I love the way this has consumed my thoughts until I get it just right for my tastes. So well done. Wonderful. Thank you so much and may Christ our God and his most-pure Mother bless all those involved and grant you many years☦️

  2. 5/5Seamlessly Blending Tradition and Technology: A Review of Eikōn App

The Orthodox Prayer App is a remarkable tool that seamlessly blends tradition with modern technology, making it an invaluable asset for anyone in the Orthodox community. Designed to complement, not replace, a physical prayer corner, this app is perfect for both seasoned practitioners and those new to the faith. One of its standout features is the extensive collection of prayers. Users can access a wide array of saint prayers and prayers for specific occasions and events. Additionally, the app allows for the creation and customization of personal prayers, enabling a truly personalized spiritual experience. The digital prayer corner is beautifully customizable, offering a serene and inspiring virtual space for reflection. Daily readings, including the Prologue and Scripture, as well as a quarterly Psalter, are easily accessible, ensuring that users stay engaged with their faith. Another noteworthy feature is the ability to set reminders for individual prayers, whether daily or weekly. This ensures that users can maintain a consistent prayer routine, fostering spiritual growth and discipline. Overall, the Orthodox Prayer App is set to make a significant impact on the Orthodox community, enhancing the spiritual lives of its users by merging the sacred traditions of the faith with the convenience of modern technology.

  3. 4/5New update both good and bad

I have been using this app for a short time before the update from 2 days ago and have being enjoying learning about the order prayers and adding custom ones. The layout is a big improvement and I enjoy the new organization of the psalters, and daily readings even though some of them are now paywalled. I don’t even mind that the app now requires payment for fully functionality of the app, I just wish that I could make a single lifetime payment rather a subscription. Unfortunately with the update some of the changes are less enjoyable. For one the moving stars in the background of the prayer screen are extremely distracting and I couldn’t find a setting to turn them off. Also my custom prayers were deleted or placed behind the paywalls extra screens and when I attempted to re-add them the image selection wouldn’t work and the moving of the icons on screen was sluggish and inaccurate. I wish I could edit how the prayer screens functioned such as making the scroll vertical or shrinking the icons themselves to more seamlessly fit on one extended page. I would have reached out to the developer directly regarding these issues but there’s no contact info for him within the app or the App Store besides his Instagram account.

  4. 5/5Great App for Orthodox Christians!

This app is great for Orthodox Christians! It has a beautiful home page with precious icons and prayers associated with them, as well as sections for further prayer, such as a calendar for every day of the Christian year, daily readings from the Prologue of Ohrid, Daily Scripture Readings, and a Daily Psalter. This app has helped me as I use it in my prayer corner to keep track of all the Readings for the day, as well as for prayer on the go. I recommend this app for all Orthodox Christians, and even non-Orthodox if you would like to learn more about Orthodox spirituality.

  5. 5/5Finally, an Ancient Christian prayer app!

Christ is Risen! This app is designed so beautifully, with a Orthodox prayer corner. Usually, one has a physical one in their house, but sometimes with work and life it is not the case. I catch myself many times, being at work or in the day to day, wishing I could have a prayer corner to humble myself with. All other Christian prayer apps, are nice, but they are either Protestant, or Catholic. Not one was geared towards Holy Orthodoxy. I thank the creator of this very beautiful, well designed and important app.
