  1. 4/5Great App EXCEPT

PROS: I love that I can set up tasks for in the future with early reminders. I really like that I can set up custom repeats like weekly on Mondays and Thursdays. I like that I can have several different lists. I like that I can add notes. CONS: I generally look at the app in the morning so when I see something that I completed the previous day I want to show it as completed that day, not today since it may be a daily repeat and then there’s not an opportunity to show today’s completion. A solution to this could be that the app makes me go through extra steps to show that I want the completion date to be a date other than today. Occasionally when I select several items and reset the due date as today or tomorrow, the repeat is removed and this is very inconvenient because it may be a week or month before I realize that the task is gone and I have to rebuild it. The priority symbol just takes up space and makes it harder to see the actual task title. Subtasks seem like a great feature but I haven’t found a good way to make them work for me although I’ll keep trying.

  2. 1/5Slow and removing categories

Now my phone is up-to-date have no issues. The Reminders app now is going super slow and I’ve seen other people talking about it and I’m experiencing it and it’s constantly slow. Also, I realize the reminders I have that are daily I go back to the category. Those individual reminders are deleted as I mentioned they are their schedule daily to occur and there is no end date. However every time the Reminder app is deleting them and I constantly have to put them back. I’ve been using this app for years, so it’s not like I don’t know what I’m doing . Apple needs to do better I like having a to do list reminders, etc. but is an inconvenience that is constantly deleting reoccurring categories and to do list. this been going on for months and I’m so so tired of it. I’m so ready to spend extra money on a app that we get the job done. but like I said, if anyone was thinking about adding the Reminders app, please look at all the reviews since the update it has tremendously slowed and deleting recurring daily categories, and to do list which shouldn’t happen. i’ll put this as one star because is an inconvenience, especially with someone that loves to have a to do list in reminders to get things done.

  3. 1/5Slipping into obsolescence

I have relied on this app for years to manage a handful of recurring cyclical list such as groceries or packing for a trip. In which I will repeatedly remove items only to add them back later. For this purpose, it’s quite annoying that there is no search bar in individual lists, you can only search items in all of reminders at once. So the workflow keeping track of a large list involves constantly going back to the main page to search and see if you’ve already got an item on the list list uncheck it, and then returning to the main list. The real problem begins for me, because as of recently, I have noticed that search is not indexing all of my list anymore. In fact, it’s not indexing my most used list, my grocery list, at all. So every time I want to quickly find an uncheck a few items by name from the completed list, I have no way of searching for them in the many many items on that reminder list. And when I do finally find that item and uncheck it, if I return to search on the main page, it will then be found in the search results. This is for the developers, please fix this bug or reconsider the logic if it is part of a misguided feature. I can only assume since some completed items do return in results there is a logic at play. Whether it is certain lists, or items created at older than a certain date that are not being shown, it is making the app that I have used for years for multiple every day tasks completely obsolete enforcing me to figure out new solutions.

  4. 5/5Why you should start using this app?

This app is great for Reminders because you can like mark your friends birthday for years like there and you can go to like a bunch of years. I didn’t check to see the marking but you can go to 2025, 2026 probably and because you can schedule us certain time and the best part is like if you have like I don’t know something to do and you know you will forget or something or if your mom tells you to make sure you, tell her that we need to go to the gas station and pick up the milk. You can set a reminder if she saying we’re leaving like 8 AM. and you would just like said it for I don’t know probably like 815 or something because like that’ll just be a good time so it’s just you so now you won’t get in trouble because you forgot so yeah so that’s why I give this a five star. It’s like pretty useful when you think about it like you I don’t know forgetting and getting in trouble you can do that and like you can be looking forward to it if you said it or not alarm it’s like it won’t be covered up by your messages it will be brought and so as soon as you open your phone, you will see it, which is great. I hope you guys use that because it’s like really good and stuff so bye, that’s it about it

  5. 1/5Perfect Timing!

I just went to use the app and now I can’t indent like I’ve been doing for years which ruins the entire workflow I created for myself. Luckily the app distracted me to try and acquire a rating; perfect timing! You should leave ‘backwards people’ like me that don’t like change behind. I’ve been learning to do without; and despite this being my last iPhone anyways, it’s just another nail in the coffin. Don’t worry about my opinion; don’t let it sway you from your ‘best life’ 😄 It probably is really nice and has new features; but I’d rather be a bit behind your ‘cutting edge improvements’, and have stability in the things I use in my daily routine. A difference in outlook; which is why I’m typing this on the only remaining Apple device I have, until it breaks (it’s been 2 years, I’m due). Then I’m off to something new; so really, don’t mind me 🤡 Update: It reverted back AFTER I submitted this review and I adjusted (haphazardly) to the new ‘system’; and ruined the lists I made 😄. Trying for the 3rd time get the grocery list organized before I go into the store; if I left 10 minutes before it would have reverted while I was in there I know, first world problems; but like I said, I’ll just rely on you less now 🤷🏻
