1. 4/5Fantastic app overall

   Awesome concept and great bang for your buck… let’s face it, we all like to take pics and vids on some of our more scenic rides but when it comes to putting things together nothing rivals Relive. Love the 3D route progress tracking. A few kinks still need to be ironed out and processing times for the video to be ready can be a bit long even with a subscription… sometimes the creation fails and needs to be submitted again but no loss of work occurs. I wish editing minor aspects of the video such as titles would not result in re-processing of the video. The only other minor annoyance pertains to fact it’s not appear to be possible to replace/resubmit a video that was already added. I mistakenly submitted an unedited video and was later unable to replace it with the edited version of that video. I also could not upload a new copy of it and delete the old one… Again, fantastic app though

2. 3/5Unfair play

   I used to like this app a lot because it created nice videos about my rides with some statistics like top speed or max attitude, however, recently I noticed that those things are no longer presented on the free videos and now it’s also asks you each time to subscribe to the page version, and you constantly need to opt out out of it, which was a little easier previously. I understand they’re trying to push for subscription, but there are some more subtle ways to do it and also things that were free before should not become unavailable, they should bring new value add features to justify the subscription, but not take away what was used to be free… At this point, it’s just a glorified mapping of the experience with an orbital effect. [Update]: to Relive “Some customization features that used to be free are now part of Relive Plus” is exactly my frustration with you move. Taking away something that was free DOES NOT improve the app. You want to improve the app? Keep what was free -> Free. Bring any and exceptional features the will captivate your users to subscribe to the paid version!

3. 1/5Great when it works but......

   It’s great when it works but when you experience bugs and try to report it it takes some time for them to get back to you (even as you submit trouble reports they start in with the excuse that they are a small operation) and when they do get back to you they font always address issues. And yes, I’m a paying subscriber for well over a year now which is all the more reason to be disappointed in my experiences. I once reported an issue, they literally forgot about me for a while, only to have them reach out again to ask if the problem was still experienced. Given they never addressed the problem to begin with it was clear that they hoped they somehow fix errors out if the blue. Bottom line, do not expect timely customer service without any excuses. UPDATE: I dropped one star in my rating for a few reasons the biggest that I never did get feedback from my review like many others reviewers have. Next, I have used the app primarily for hiking and have just now started using the app again with it warm enough to get outside. I’ve noticed several features do not work after a number of updates over the winter. The biggest issue? The app auto-pauses randomly throughout the activity so it doesn’t actually track the entire activity. Very disappointing, I don’t like the idea of paying for an app that doesn’t deliver on its basic functionality. NEWER UPDATE: when it works it’s amazing, but the constant tweaking leaves the app 100% unusable for several days at a time. This isn’t a good thing for a free app let alone an app you’re paying for. Their solution? Go use another app that you don’t pay for. No, sorry about that let me make it up to you in any appropriate way, no their advice is to go use something else.

4. 2/5Great idea but implementation is eh

   I downloaded this app to try it out. It immediately had me create a sample video from a hike I did a couple years ago. It was easy and the finished product with photos we took along the way was great. But then I tried to create a video from a recent bike tide we took and thats when it all went south - although I linked the app to Apple Health it only allows me to pick from a limited choice of dates. Why does it black out most of the dates I was active and only allow a weird random group of dates? - it doesn’t automatically choose the appropriate photos like it did in the first sample video and even when you try to choose photos manually it just shows all the photos in your library. It does not even group them by date to help you select the right date. I get that the free version never has all the features of the pid version but if the free version is so bad why would anyone pay for the paid version. The free version should be a preview of what you get if you pony up for the paid version

5. 4/5Have to reinstall

   Well, overall, I love this app!!! It’s absolutely wonderful! The only problem I have is that sometimes it stalls out (visually) in the middle of tracking a ride yet continues to play. This is only when I view my own rides. It plays straight through if you share it via text or social media but has issues when viewing it on your mobile device. The only way to fix it is to reinstall the app (often taking multiple times) ( I’ve had to reinstall over 20 times before) before it actually showed the full ride. This needs to be fixed! It’s a pain. I have to reinstall the app every other time I track a ride. Either way, I love how the app outlines your route in relation to the city you’re doing it in and will continue to use and reinstall when need be. If it wasn’t for the freezing/reinstall issue, 5 ⭐️ all the way!
