  1. 5/5A great idea, could use a few fixes

First let me say I love this app, I’ve made about 6 dishes from it in just a few weeks and I have recommended it to friends. I love how many vegetarian and plant based options there are, how quick to make so many of them are, and I love that you can set the serving size to however many people you have- I think I’ve reduced food waste because so many recipes are written for 4 or more people and this way I can really cook for 2. I also love the cooking seasonally concept for the environment and our health. The few fixes I would suggest: several recipes have had very poorly written instructions and I’ve had to look up similar recipes to make sure I’m on the right track. I also would love to be able to have more sort features by things like is this a main dish or a side. Additionally I like the grocery list idea but I wish you could take things off the list for if you already have that ingredient. Overall amazing, I’m excited to keep using it.

  2. 5/5Nice looking recipes with neat features!

Really awesome app, I love the variety of recipes and the ability to adjust for skill level and type of ingredients/cuisine. I would love the ability to save notes about the recipes (for instance, the eggplant curry I just made was much too heavy on the red pepper, to the point where all the other spices were overwhelmed, so it would be great if I could note that to myself in the future to reduce that ingredient.) I know it also came up on Reddit, but the ability to share the grocery lists and to add personal items would replace my need for a separate app. Not sure if that would be possible with the way the lists are populated, but it would be cool! Keep up the good work, it’s looking great. (This is the first review I’ve ever written but I was so stoked to find this that I had to comment and show my support!)

  3. 5/5New Favorite App

I was looking for an app to help me find out what produce is in season on a monthly basis and not only does it do that but it does so much more. I am gluten free and vegan and was pleased to find out I could set these dietary preferences and it displays recipes based on that. My doctor just put me on an AIP diet so it’s been challenging finding recipes on top of my already restrictive diet. I reached out to Kuri and they are looking into adding a Paleo option in the future. I love that I can easily add any recipe to a grocery list and it’s organized by aisle. I love that if you make a recipe they will plant a tree on your behalf. I love that you can track and reduce your carbon footprint by using this app. There’s just so much to love and I can’t wait to see all that’s to come. Plus, it’s really aesthetically pleasing to boot. I appreciate you guys!

  4. 5/5Would be Five Stars but…

I cannot figure out how to tell them i’ve cooked something??? it’s not anywhere so I can’t plant any trees. I’ve cooked stuff but I don’t know how to get my trees planted. other than that I mean - what a fantastic thing to have on your phone. environmentally friendly delicious food you can add to a convenient grocery list and all the nutrition is listed AND it’s free???? I will be recommending to literally everyone I know. bout to hang a banner outside my window. Please don’t add In app purchases. Edit: changing to five stars because of the response from developer. I truely adore this app so much I DMd the instagram page. While still confusing, my trees still always plant after i’m done cooking so no complaints!

  5. 4/5ALMOST PERFECT

I loveeeeeeeee this app! I have cooked 4 recipes and they’re very easy and each delicious! It’s really helping me stick to a vegetarian diet which I’m doing for health reasons. I love all the features and it makes meal planning so much easier. I love the shopping list especially, I can add all the ingredients from the recipe and just tick off what I already have. A couple bugs though… -It says I only planted 2 trees even though I cooked 4 recipes so far. -I can’t edit the shopping list, only check on or off an item but I have previous personal items I want to delete off the list (like toothpaste) from my previous week. -It doesn’t say how much is a serving (ex 1 serving = 8 oz, etc) -I would also love if there was more Latino food on there and maybe some desserts. -I have to constantly update the serving to 4 instead of 2 and it won’t update in my preferences either. Those are the only issues I’ve had so far, but other than that this app has saved me so much stress, time, and money! LOVEEEEEEEEEEEEE!

In this update, I've made the Cooking Interface faster. It will generate crystal clear cooking method in a jiffy! Thank you CR for your feedback! Baptiste - indie developer of Kuri

2 new features in this update! Thanks to the tireless Benoît for his suggestions :) First: I've made Kuri highlight recipes in the Feed that you haven't tried yet :) This will bring a bit more diversity to the Feed. Second: you can now export a recipe as a PDF! On a recipe, tap the button in the top right. Only available on Kuri recipes for now. If you think this would be useful for imported recipes, let me know by email: [email protected] Thank you! I continue to read all your ideas and suggestions, and I'm preparing a great redesign of the "meal planning" to go much further in Kuri's mission! Have a great week everyone, Baptiste - indie developer of Kuri

Improvements to the shopping list! Thanks to Robin for his suggestions. Here’s what’s new: - Fixed a bug that removed manually added items from the shopping list when adding more recipes. - You can now manage quantities directly from the shopping list, without having to go back to the recipe. Feel free to send me your ideas, suggestions, and feedback at [email protected] Thanks, and have a great week, everyone! Baptiste – indie developer of Kuri

Meal Planning / Weekly Menu Improvements! Thanks to Fiona and Audrey for their great suggestions. From now on: - Improvement: when you're viewing a recipe and want to add it to your menu, you have more control — you can choose the day, the meal, or add it to the next available day. - You can now see the day of the week on each "day" of the menu, not just the date. - Bug fix: it’s now possible to select a breakfast when replacing a meal. More small improvements like these are coming to the meal planner! Thanks everyone, Baptiste – Developer at Kuri

  • 1.553

In this update, I've fixed a bug on the meal planner where you sometimes couldn't select breakfast recipes. Thank you Victoria for your feedback! Baptiste - indie developer of Kuri

A couple of small updates to the meal plan! Big thanks to Celia for the suggestion! You can now add your “quick meals” to your menus, the ones that aren’t really recipes but are still part of your everyday routine. Just add a meal to your menu, and you’ll now see a “Quick Meal” option that you can name yourself. It’s a handy way to include your go-to meals in your menus without needing a full recipe. Thanks again to Celia for the idea :) And feel free to keep sending me more, it helps me keep improving Kuri! Additionally, I've also fixed a bug where on a question in the magic meal planner, if you tapped "more options" in the list of ingredients you have, it'd skip to the next question. Fixed! Have a great week, Baptiste – indie developer of Kuri

In this update, I've made sure that every recipe you import or create gets accurate nutrition information. Additionally, this update packs a few bug fixes, mostly related to Kuri Premium. Also, expect a brand new look for Kuri's Feed in September :) Thank you! Baptiste - indie developer of Kuri

  • 1.556

In this update, I've solved an issue where when creating a meal plan with the magic meal planner, if you selected "favorites and imported recipes only", hardly any imported recipes would be selected. This was due to a harsh filter affecting only imported recipes. Thank you Améline for the suggestion! Baptiste - indie developer of Kuri

  • 1.557

Lots of bugs fixed! Thanks to all the feedback I’ve received, I was able to work on improvements to Kuri and fix a number of bugs. Here’s what’s new: Ingredient exclusions: excluded ingredients are now applied everywhere. You won’t see recipes that contain the ingredients you want to avoid. Batch cooking: you can now select recipes directly from your weekly meal plan. When you create a batch cooking session, the recipes from your plan will appear at the top of the selection window, making it easier to batch cook your weekly menus. Jumping straight from the meal plan to batch cooking could be an option in the future, but with more than 4 recipes, it becomes tricky for the AI to create a relevant session. Lost images on imported recipes: imported recipe photos used to disappear, since Instagram and TikTok links only last a few days. From now on, I’ll store the images so they don’t get lost. Thanks for your feedback, and thanks for using Kuri! Baptiste – Kuri’s developer

This important update brings major changes under the hood, due to the shutdown of a tool that allowed Kuri to sync data. I’ve had to roll up my sleeves to find a new solution, while making sure your data stays safe. Please update as soon as possible to avoid any issues in 2026 :) Thank you all, and wishing you a wonderful and happy 2026! Baptiste — Kuri’s developer

Save recipes from Instagram, TikTok & anywhere on the web! Cook & plan menus with seasonal ingredients with Kuri, the seasonal cooking app. In this update, I've fixed a number of bugs reported today and yesterday, as well as changed the behavior when you tap on a recipe on the My Recipes screen and on the shopping list, opening it directly instead of showing you a menu (now accessible with a long press). You can revert back to the previous behavior from the Preferences screen, of course! Best, Baptiste - indie developer of Kuri
