4/5Nice upgrade from version 2.x.x but lost features along the way
I have been using ReadKit 2.x.x for years, and a big fan. I recently upgraded to version 3 to move with the times but also to be able to synch more than 1,000 items as that was a limitation of version 2. I will not focus on the update as anyone can download it and try it out, it is worth it. What I feel was lost or missing is as follows: 1 - No way to import Smart Folders from version 2.x. I have built so many and rely heavily on them. 2 - The fact now that one purchase (what I went for) or a subscription gives you access to the app on all platforms is amazing, however, Smart Folders created on any device does not sync to another, I can live with creating them one by one but to have to do that on each device and manually update them each time is not an option. 3 - Starred Items are only shown either in All View or Read View, I cannot create a Smart Folder to show Starred items like in version 2.x. I still recommend the new version, I hope that the points above will be addressed in future updates, especially the second.

5/5My favorite RSS reader on Mac and iOS
I heard about this app when one of my favorite podcasters mentioned he used it as his RSS reader. I’d been using a reader that hadn’t been substantially updated for years, and I figured I’d give this a try. This organizes feeds just the way I want, and has great options on viewing and without getting overwhelming. The liquid glass touches are perfect, and is a sign that the developer is continuing to put care into this app. Back in the day of the original NetNewsWire I was the king of smart folders, and it’s great that this app has this capability (premium subscription required).

5/5It has everything I need out of an RSS Reader
I first tried the app two years ago, and at the time it wasn't quite ready to replace Reeder for me. I'm glad that I gave it another shot. Everything works exactly as I expect it to. It reliably refreshes from my self-hosted miniflux instance. The gestures all feel very natural to use. Overall, I'm very pleased with the app's features, and I can't imagine wanting anything else out of an RSS Reader.

5/5New favorite RSS reader
I used Reeder for years and years and was satisfied until they released the overhauled version that completely changed everything I knew and loved about it. I’m so glad I gave ReadKit a try. It’s everything I loved about the classic version of Reeder, and more. Happily bought a premium subscription, though it’s remarkably feature-rich even without it (especially if you use a sync service like Feedly).

5/5The Best Reader App
I love ReadKit. The developer is great and this latest cross-platform version looks better, functions better, and is in every way better than all competing apps, even those from big development teams. Unlike those other apps you will find no ads here and no one is stealing and selling your data. Plus ReadKit works with more apps and platforms than those other companies and more seamlessly. It's hard to make an app this robust feel this simple. The free version is generous and the subscription prices are fair and with all the extra features you get paying a little for something you will use this much is well worth the upgrade.
