1. 2/5UNREADABLE library titles.

   The version of this app that I downloaded in 2020 worked great. But the current version makes it impossible to read the tittles for my recordings. The date only is displayed in the library. If I want to read the title I have to click on every single recording individually. This is a HUGH time waster. ALSO this app does not synch between iOS devices using the iCloud. I’d like to record on the phone and edit on the iPad. This app won’t allow it. POOR.

2. 3/5I like a lot but

   I like the app a lot, from the clean user interface, ease-of-use, forward thinking and intuitive design, it really is a great app. The issue is with just about every action such as deleting a file as it playing, or trying to record a new file when you forgot to pause/stop the file that was playing, the app just crashes. Really waiting for a fix, as I’d like to use this app with my Rode microphone. That I paid for.

3. 3/5Good, but room for improvement

   Leaps and bounds better for quick run and gun recordings over the Rode Rec app. Quick to load and begin recording. UI is modern and well laid out. Native iOS share menu is great for transferring recordings. However, it’d be nice if the app remembered my previous recording settings using the iXY with an iPhone 8 (Input Gain, HPF, Sample and Bit Rate), as it’s just one more step that prevents you from recording quickly. The app also doesn’t seem to prevent screen auto-lock, regardless of the toggle state in settings. Looking forward to future updates with some improvements, and will likely continue to use for now for quick field recording.

   Please add an option to record the stereo file with the left and right channel hardpanned to left and right using regular TRS 3.5mm, would be great for all the iOS musicians. I’m recording a single stereo file using two TRS 3.5mm going into the sc6-l. But I can’t hear the actual stereo, both inputs are centered or plain weird, even tried with mono tr 3.5mm. I’ll add even a 6th star if you can make this happen. I do know that it can record two separate files, but that’s not what I’m after (it was supposed to record both stereo audio music as well as do the same while filming using the iPhone).

5. 3/5New Version of Røde Reporter is Slow on iOS 14

   The previous version of Røde Reporter worked well with my iPhone 8 Plus running on iOS 14. My only major complaint was that scrubbing through minutes-long recordings (20+ minute sessions) for voiceovers caused the playback to stop and freeze the app until I quit and restart Reporter. If I had known that the responsiveness of the newer versions of Røde Reporter was slower than the previous version in terms of the audio level meter, and having my previous recordings disappear, I would've waited until Røde fixed the app before updating. Now there's no way I can roll back the app to the previous version, and I need this app for voiceover work. Either fix this app or allow us to roll back to a prior version of the app that wasn't as sluggish as this.
