  1. 5/5Incredible one of a kind app

Over the last year some notable new experiences have come to iPhone videography but this one is in a lane of its own coming from one of the great devs on team green. I’m so happy true raw video is here, even for me as an iPhone 15 pro max user! There are still occasional freezes when switching lenses after adjusting settings but I haven’t used it on anything mission critical yet but the potential and development is here and I am excited. Oh and gyroflow was just added and it’s open gate capable?? It’s only going up from here, well worth the purchasing price and 2x over

  2. 5/5Excellent RAW video app for iPhone

This is a fantastic app for RAW video recording on iPhone. Very well designed, stable, and clearly made by someone who understands real video workflows. I really hope the developer continues active development — this app has huge potential. A few feature ideas that would make it even better: • Remaining recording time indicator based on available storage • Horizon level indicator • Dropped frames indicator • System load / performance meter • Overheating / thermal warning indicator Overall, the app is already excellent and highly usable. Thank you for this powerful tool — looking forward to future updates!

  3. 4/5Real RAW files But app need more features

I have been using it for almost 24h and here is what i noticed : 1- the RAW files are huge and need a very good pc to render but in the same time the quality is very impressive. ( worth it ) 2- The autofocus stop working after you pressing the record button is really a down side ( fix soon please ) 3- we do need a histogram so please add it soon 4- am not a pro on color grading but is it normal that there is no white balance controle inapp or am i supposed to fix that on davinci resolve ?

  4. 3/5Almost there!

So far the app is good enough, though there’s work to do. Auto white battle? Not very practical, needs to be manual and selective, also, I think that exposure isn’t fully manual either, I feel that it changes from time to time. Until those to things get addressed, I’ll continue using Blackmagic Design’s cam which works way more efficiently and results are more predictable, specially when shooting ProRes in all its available flavors including Raw. I do think though that this app is promising.

  5. 4/5Great app! Still needs work though

Bringing true RAW along with 4k opengate to all iphones that support ios17 is awesome but still needs a few things to really make this a go to app for video: 1: more robust manual controls(ISO caps at 495, maybe bring it up to 1000?) 2: since the live preview isnt reliable maybe add some scopes to help nail the oerfect exposure 3: Since the .mcraw format isn’t widely supported yet maybe the option to convert to a more popular format in the app.
