Area vs. Scale Choose between area-based alerts (using the map) or scale-based alerts (global quakes above a chosen magnitude). TRY IT BEFORE IT MATTERS - Every plan now starts with a 7-day free trial. - New alert preview on your profile: see and hear a real earthquake or volcano alert - including a critical one - staged near your own location. It is clearly a demo, and no one else is notified. - We remind you before a trial ends. No surprise charges. MAPS THAT STAY WHERE YOU PUT THEM - Changing a filter no longer moves the camera or leaves stale results behind. - Tapping a nearby quake on the map opens it, instead of stopping at a bubble. - New Places layer: cities, parks and landmarks on every map. - The same filters everywhere, including the "since you last opened" map. SHARING - Share your "since you last opened" recap as a card. - Share QuakeMate itself as a proper branded card. - Optional globe intro on share videos: the clip opens at globe scale and flies in to the event. - Cleaner volcano markers on shared maps. FIXES - Tectonic plate details sometimes did not appear, and plate taps were being dropped. Both fixed. - Ordinary earthquake alerts were arriving silently. They have their sound back. - Faster share sheet, clearer purchase errors, and a tidier profile with everything in one place.

News that follows the places you care about. - New "Alert areas": one News feed covering your saved alert zones - the places you already watch for quakes, right down to each zone's area. - New "Near me": stories from around where you are right now. Pick a scope from the top of the News tab. "Worldwide" still shows everything.

Sharper sharing, richer filters, real impact data. SHARE COMPOSER - Card options live in one tidy menu: details position, minimap with epicenter pin, big country flag, bigger text, and an Impact line showing how many people felt the shaking (USGS PAGER). - Everything works on photo AND video cards, and the preview updates live. MAP - New Felt list plus two new filters: felt reports only, and depth (shallow, intermediate, deep). EARTHQUAKE SCREEN - The impact alert now shows the population exposed to each shaking level, straight from USGS PAGER. - New bell button: create an alert for the area right from any earthquake. - Nearby cities and areas are back. FIXES - "Near me" on the Now tab sticks and no longer slips back to worldwide events. - Tectonic plate pages list the countries along smaller plates. - No more stray straight lines on shared map cards.

Tectonic plate pages now tell the full story. - Plates that run through several countries show them all: the countries sitting on the plate, plus a new "Along its edges" list for neighbours on its boundary - where most earthquakes actually happen. - Small polish and fixes throughout.

• The Now tab now updates instantly when you switch between Worldwide and Near me. • Fixed a rare issue where the Now panel could get stuck refreshing after reopening the app. • Map layer filters and the list now stay in sync — turning off Quakes, Volcanoes, Tsunamis or Felt hides its chip too.
