1/5Generally a bad online experience
The app sends you to a faux browser when you need to actually do something instead of actually functioning as a self contained app such as those other airlines have Often denies that routes exist which Qantas actually flies (ie Melbourne - NYC) and the prices are ALWAYS always higher than can be found on other sites. You can’t fly to a city - you have to choose a specific airport. But like in London, NYC or others - multiple airports exist and every other site allows for searches to the city. Bad app, more generally out of date online setup.

4/5Doesn’t accept TSA Precheck number
When entering traveller details for an existing booking, there is a Known Traveler Number field. The app will only accept a 9 digit value. However, USA TSA Precheck numbers are a combination of letters and numbers. Always have to use the airport checkin desk to get them to enter it for me, which is a pain.

1/5Stingy on drinks and poor boarding experience
Air New Zealand goes up and down Isle 2-3 times with drinks non alcoholic and alcoholic beverages, Qantas offers you one stingy drink and never comes back! Not impressed! They also had some random Indian lady jump on me during boarding claiming she worked for USA homeland security and wanting to put a silly sticker in my passport - I didn’t believe her or trust her, I told this complete stranger coming at me way back in line I we went through international security in Brisbane just like everyone else and completely ignored her. Then I was selected for a “Random!” Security screening later on totally unprofessional.

1/5Worst Airline App
Now most Airline Apps are not buttery smooth or even ideal/stable but this App is the worst, the app seems to be structured like a layered Browser, and also seems to be semi-permable and when I was trying to read the terms, the tap function seems to have ended up making a booking without my knowledge forcing me to have to dispute the charges with my card company. In addition, the desktop functionality freezes even in high performance smartphones, I definitely suggest avoid using this app and use Safari or another browser alternatively until they can have a more functioning app like competition globally.

1/5Cannot create account
You currently cannot create an account on the app. It appears to be a poor wrapper around a website. The bottom half of the screen seems to be blocked by some invisible view or the touch area of the website they’re showing is only on the top half the screen. When creating an account I could get around this because everything was scrollable, but on the final confirm details page, it is not scrollable so the Confirm Details button is not selectable. I thought I was being clever and turned on VoiceOver to scroll selection down to the button to double tap but alas that didn’t work. I might create an account on their actual website and come back to see if the rest of the app is usable or I could be passive-aggressive and petty and just give up to spite Qantas. 😊

When creating an account I could get around this because everything was scrollable, but on the final confirm details page, it is not scrollable so the Confirm Details button is not selectable. I thought I was being clever and turned on VoiceOver to scroll selection down to the button to double tap but alas that didn’t work. I might create an account on their actual website and come back to see if the rest of the app is usable or I could be passive-aggressive and petty and just give up to spite Qantas. 😊",
