the pronunciation is what i was looking for, yet from the looks of it, this app translates with gerunds (“-ndo”) if you were to translate a sentence regarding what you’re doing now it would not give you continental Portuguese. For example this app does the following: I am eating = Eu estou comendo. Rather, it would be useful to have both ways (comendo/a comer) so the learner could choose depending on where he is. eg. Madeira, Brazil, Portugal, Angola, etc…. I mean not that they wouldn't understand you regardless of the fact. But, it is useful to know.

5/5Excellent Portuguese Translation App
I have used the pTTranslator app since 2021 when my husband and I moved to Portugal. It is still my favorite translator app. It’s fast, professional and easy to use and learn. There are wonderful additions like how to pronounce the alphabet and daily conversations. I used this app to help me with my Portuguese language classes. If you’re looking to learn Portuguese correctly you should get this app. You will be amazed and happy you did.

This sounds super fake but it’s not , The best app ever. There’s almost no translations for European Portuguese on the Internet that are as accurate as these I would know as a Portuguese person. I know that no translator is perfect but this one is pretty close to perfect it’s super good. Matter where you are or when you’re there you can use the translator to communicate to the locals in Portugal. What’s a super great for pronunciation because a lot of people struggled with learning European Portuguese because of the nasal sounds and pronunciations of certain letters. This app is a great job of using an audio of how to pronounce them. I like the semi realistic voice for the pronunciation Because it does not take on any gender and it’s easy to understand and pronounce although it is a little blurry in terms of speech Obrigado

5/5The best Portuguese language app
I am so delighted to have discovered this app. All of the features I could need are available. The word and phrase translation is made more useful by being able to save and access favorite expressions, while listening to proper pronunciation. There is also a great feature to photograph signs, menus, announcements, and other text, and have these also available in translation. This is a must application for any visitor to places where Portuguese is widely used to help seamlessly communicate, and make one’s experiences more enjoyable. Congratulations to the developers for doing such an outstanding program and useful service to so many others. Bravo and Muito obrigado!

Of course this is going to sound dishonest but this is the 2nd review I’ve ever written in my life. Honestly, really good app. I’m Portuguese and it’s so hard to find accurate translators but this one is great. No,not “right on”. Still makes mistakes but no app, no translation program, is ever going to get it 100% right. When using a software app, literal translation from one language to another is unarguably impossible. This app is exceptionally good, especially in comparison to countless others I’ve used. Verdadeiramente.
