  1. 4/5Buggy but good

My original review said I wasn't going to use this app because I didn't trust it because there were crashing bugs when I tried to use certain settings on the options screen. (Since then I've also noticed that the app does not appear to have been updated in seven years, which I would guess means it's technically dead and will eventually stop working altogether. That's too bad.) The generally positive reviews have convinced me to overlook all that, however, and I've been using the app to wake me up for work for the better part of a week now and it has been great. The benefits of a gradual alarm without interruptions while I'm setting it up or nags to pay for a subscription to get features I neither want nor need (Sleep Cycle, which I used happily for about ten years now, has lately become guilty of both of these transgressions, causing me to look elsewhere for a gradual alarm clock app) is a fine thing. And as a regular meditator, I very much appreciate the singing bowl tones it uses to wake me up. Long may it continue to function!

  2. 3/5Fine on iPhone terrible on iPad

    26. May 2024. I have used this app for a long time mostly on iPads. Of course it is also written to work on iPhones. The only issue that I have with the application is that the display on the iPad Pro 12.9 inch Gen 3 & Gen 5 is distorted with colored bands, going across all controls that make it very difficult to be able to read this is existed ever since the second generation of iPad pros were introduced so it's been close to four years now and this issue is not been resolved. I have contacted the developer, but I have not gotten any kind of response to my issues it's an extremely nice Alarm Clock application pleasant to wake up to gives you plenty of options on how it alarms and the tones that are used. The only negative is the display on iPad pros I wish that would be fixed so I'll recommend this app because it is fine on an iPhone, but I'll only rated at three stars until they fix the display

  3. 5/5Amazing alarm! So peaceful!

This is the best way to wake up! Gradually and peacefully! You may want to gradually wake up over a 20 minute period with the bowl sounding very low, till it gets to the full volume you set... or set it to chime every few seconds at your wake up time.. or many variations in between.. This developer truly understands a zen lifestyle! Beautiful Tibetan bowl chimes instead of a glaring radio or buzz alarm, what a way to start the day! I have the other two apps Zen Meditation Timer and Zen Reminder-for mindfulness.. All three of these apps are fantastic, and I use them daily! (and no, I don't know the developer!)

  4. 5/5One of the best apps I've ever bought

A lot of apps have problems from time to time. I've never had any problem with this app. I use it almost every day. I love that I can have three default time set, and that it goes off audibly even if the phone is on silent; not the same as turning the volume all the way down. It also has choices of a lot of tones. Ultimately, I love waking up slowly and gently. I used to have a Zen alarm clock, which finally died after about 10 years. I replaced it with this app and love it. I'm a very deep sleeper, and if I have to be up by a very specific time, I just set the alarm ten minutes early. In the last few years, it's never taken more than 15 minutes to wake me up. I travel a lot for my job and have never missed a flight when I needed to be up early. It gently wakes me up no matter how tired I am.

  5. 5/5Years Of Satisfaction

All of my 20+ night shift years began being jarred out of sleep by the raucous sound of my typical, average alarm clock. Prior to smart phones and apps I invested in a Now And Zen alarm however it was so difficult to set I’d keep raucous set as well in case I failed. I found this app in my retired years however better late than never and I am sooooo pleased. The bells sound extremely realistic. Setting the alarm is a breeze. My setting is dark and my volume lower than max. I’m usually awakened by the first bell but I may listen to a few more for the pleasure of it. I can’t sufficiently praise this app. My only suggestion to users: If you use a Bluetooth headset don’t forget to turn it off unless you’re planning to use it. To the developer- Many Thanks 🙏🏻
