Procedure Log

• Fixed some issues that potentially could cause a crash or corruption of the database.

• Added ability to change speed of transition animations in Settings view. • Added ability to delete entire Specialty when editing Procedures and entire Category when editing Complications. - Go to Settings > Edit Procedures, then tap the Edit button. - Go to Settings > Edit Complications, then tap the Edit button. • Added ability to import additional lists of procedures for various specialties. Lists available with this update are: - Bedside Ultrasound, - Emergency Medicine, - Emergency Medical Services [EMS], and - Interventional Radiology. Go to Settings > Edit Procedures, tap the import button in the middle of the toolbar at the bottom, then select the specialty whose procedures you want to import. You'll be taken to the list of procedures for that specialty that you can deselect procedures you don't want imported, then tap on "Import" at the top. It will check whether you already have any of the procedures in your list for that specialty to prevent duplicates. • When adding a new procedure or complication after tapping "Add Another," the Specialty or Category will be set to the last one added (but can still be changed). • When adding a new record to your log, the Specialty can now be selected in the Add to Log view, then when you go to the Select Procedure view, that Specialty will already be at the top (though one can still scroll to a different specialty). The selected specialty will become the default. • Minor fixes and other minor improvements.

• Fixed issues causing a crash and other problems in iOS 13. • Added Cardiology to the list of procedures that can be imported. • ICD-10-CM codes updated for FY 2020. • Other bug fixes.

• Minimum iOS version supported is 11.0. • The app is now compatible with iOS 13's Dark appearance mode. • New simplified color theme options (select in the Settings view). • One can select to use Dark or Light appearance mode from within the app's settings, overriding the system setting if desired (iOS 13 and higher only). • Option to disable transition animations from one screen view to another, or increase the speed of the animations by 2x or 4x (select in the Settings View). • Add up to 4 custom fields to the Add to Log view (create or edit these custom fields from the Settings view or Add to Log view). • Reports: - Any information in the custom fields will be shown within the Notes area in the PDF reports (so will not be shown if "Include Notes" is turned off). - If "Include Patient Name" and "Include Patient ID" are turned off, then the Location will also not be included in the PDF report. • After this app version is first run, the Photos folder (if present) will remain unzipped; instead, the folders inside the Photos folder containing the photos associated with each of the logged records will be zipped/encrypted until needed. • Updated the code that encrypts and zips the files. • Updated the Privacy Policy and Help/Instructions. • To add multiple procedures to the app's list of procedures, one can use the app itself or one can use their computer and fill out the form in the app's website at http://rmk-iosapps.com/procedure-log/create-procedures-list.html. A file containing the procedures and the specialty to which they belong will be created and downloaded to your computer, then the file must be imported into the app and can be shared with others if desired. • Bug fixes.

• Fixed issues that caused a crash under certain circumstances when trying to log in and when trying to add a new record.

• Fixed a bug with the custom fields' segmented control in the Add to Log view.

• Updated ICD-10-CM codes to FY2021 (long overdue, sorry for the delay). • Added "Interpreted" as an option for the "Level of Participation" field, and now more than one level of participation can be selected, e.g., "Performed, Interpreted." • The default level of participation in the Add to Log view will now be the last value(s) selected. • Updated PDF report: – to accommodate the addition of "Interpreted" as a level of participation. – fixed an issue where some lines were not being printed in iOS 14. – other minor changes. • Fixed problems that occurred when trying to edit the custom field values of a record (in the Details > Edit view) after it had been created.

• Fixed issues that could occur when trying to import the list of procedures "ProceduresToImport.plist" file that was created in the app's website: – if the file is created using the iPhone's web browser, the file is now recognized by the app. – the characters representing the ampersand, less than, and greater than symbols are now correctly displayed.

• Updated ICD-10-CM codes to FY 2023. • Changed date entry format in date fields when using iOS 14 or newer. • Fixed an issue that caused an email to not display its message when sending a report by email. • Minor fixes and other minor improvements.

Fixed an issue that caused a crash when performing a search.

● In the Create Reports view, the option to include location in the PDF reports was added (it will be off by default) and the option to include the signature attestation was moved to the bottom. (Previously, location was included automatically unless the options to include the patient name and/or patient ID were turned off. Now, if patient name and ID are off, the location can still be included in the PDF report.)

• Minimum iOS version supported is now 15.5. • Updated the code library that encrypts and zips files, including the database. A key dependency of this update is a library available only in iOS 15.5 and greater; this should prevent memory corruption and data loss. • Updated ICD-10-CM codes to FY2024. • Minor user interface fixes.

• Fixed the issue that prevented the ability to change color themes. • Fixed the issue that could cause the app to crash when it is starting up.

• Added a "Previous Date" button in the Date field of the Add to Log view that when tapped will replace the current date with the date of the previous entry's procedure date. • Updated the ICD-10-CM codes to those valid for FY2026. • Added "Sort by Location/Facility" to the Home view. • Added ability to filter reports by Location/Facility. • Fixed an issue that prevented scrolling in some views in the Info section. • Other minor fixes.

• Barcode scanner now waits for barcode to be detected and in focus prior to reading it (but note that some medical barcodes have a security code embedded within it that prevents this scanner from being able to read them). • Other minor bug fixes.

• Improvements to barcode scanner: - added ability to zoom in and out using two fingers: place fingers on the screen and spread fingers apart to zoom in and pinch them together to zoom out, - added tap to focus if needed, - on iPhones with a macro camera lens (iPhone Pro), will automatically use that camera's macro lens which has a shorter focal distance so that one can have the phone closer to the barcode. - fixed an issue that prevented the flashlight (torch light or LED flash) to stay on when the camera/barcode scanner starts to scan. • Fixed the issues causing the app to crash when trying to add a new procedure to the list of procedures from which one can select.

• Improved the speed that records are sorted. • Improved the speed that the PDF and CSV reports are created. • Fixed an issue with the creation of a CSV file that if there were items separated by a comma, the CSV report would place them in the wrong column. • In the Complications and Select Procedures views, the rows now auto adjust in height to accommodate multi-line descriptions. • In the Add/Edit Procedure view, both the Specialty field and Procedure field were changed from a single line field to a multi-line field to accommodate longer entries. • If using a custom field with a picker to add selections, the top of the picker now shows Append and Replace together, with the Append option selected by default. • If using a custom field with a picker to add selections, the app will now automatically place a semicolon between the selections. • When creating the PDF report, the level of participation (performed, assisted, etc.) will display in the row after the procedure name, aligned to the right, in the same row as the specialty name. This prevents long procedure names from writing over the level of participation. • "Edit Procedures" was renamed to "Edit Specialties/Procedures": now the specialty name can be changed (all procedures listed under the old specialty name will be listed under the new specialty name). To change the specialty name, go to Settings > Edit Specialty/Procedure, tap the "Edit" button at the top, then tap the "Rename this Specialty" button in the appropriate specialty section header.

• Added a poll to gauge interest in In-App Purchase access to CPT codes. Google sign-in is required to limit responses to one per person. Go to (Info) > CPT Code Access Poll or click here. • Added a search field to the Select Complications and Select Procedures views. • Improved database reliability. • From a record’s Details View, you can now select additional procedures when editing the procedure, as long as no signature attestation has been created for that record. Each additional procedure is saved as a new record for the same encounter, retaining the original record’s date, patient ID, supervisor, diagnosis, complications, notes, level of participation, custom field values, and related details. To replace the original procedure instead of adding new ones, deselect the current procedure and select the new one. • Improved search reliability and fixed issues that could occasionally cause crashes while searching. • Clarity improvements in the barcode scanner view when selecting captured text and using the contextual menu to make corrections. • Clarified Rename Specialty options for updating future procedures, existing logged cases, or both. • Other minor UI improvements, layout refinements, and stability fixes.

• Added a new toolbar button to the main Procedure Log view that opens a poll to determine the interest in having In-App Purchase access to CPT codes. This replaces the previous button used to show the search bar. Google sign-in is required so responses are limited to one per person. The poll is also available from (Info) > CPT Code Access Poll. • Added a one-time notice in the main Procedure Log view to point users to the new CPT code poll button. • Made the search bar in the main Procedure Log view permanently visible at the top of the screen. • Made additional refinements to the PDF report. • Added compatibility with the upcoming iOS 27. • Improved date selection screens and fixed date picker display issues on newer iOS versions. • Improved search behavior in Select Complications and Select Procedure views. • Made other minor UI improvements and bug fixes.

• Fixed an issue that could cause a crash when entering a date field on the Create User, Edit User, Add to Log, and Edit Logged Procedure screens on iOS 18.x. • Minor UI improvements.
