1. 5/5Great for shooting DSLR kind of photos

   Native camera app is almost fully automatic. It is great in most scenarios. But it has restrains under certain situation like low ambient light. That’s where this app shines. I just came back from a vacation in Greece. I took many photos during dinner, where I wanted to avoid using flash for the sake of image quality and other guests. This app gave me complete control over shutter speed, ISO and depth to make it possible. I hand-held my iPhone, so shutter speed had to be faster than 1/8 at least. It would be impossible to control this with native app I think. Another great example is controlling depth. I take photos of small insects and plants. Native camera app would always mess up the depth with auto focusing. (I don’t blame it btw. It’s called auto focusing after all.😅) While this app has like laser coloring to mark out the objects in focus. It is precise enough for my use. I found it actually more convenient than using my DSRL for such close-up shots. All in all, a very nice free app gives me DSLR camera experience!

2. 5/5Access ALL the features your phones camera has

   The little details matter, and my iPhones stock camera app wasn’t doing me any favors. In fact, the iPhone actually edits your photo’s to make them look better without you asking, and doesn’t offer many ways to disable it. When I’m trying to capture tiny details on something I’m working on, much of the time it’s actually edited out! I’ve also caught it adding extra teeth into people’s mouths, as well as clearing up my terrible skin (thanks but no thanks). Pro cam does away with all of that. Not only do I have the ability to photograph REALITY, I also have full control over which of the 3 camera lenses I’m using! I’ve had this app for well over a year now, and it’s paid for itself many times over. Yes, you shouldn’t have to buy an app to use the camera you already have, but trust me, the difference is remarkable. Also, if you do take the leap and purchase, take near identical photos with this app and your stock app. Compare them side by side, and the difference will be evident.

3. 5/5Low Spec Features Compared to Rest

   It’s crazy how the app “CameraPixels” another premium - similar to yours - camera app has focus bracketing AND bracketing in general for HDR photo taking, up to 15 photos of different exposures. Why does this - you - advertise as the best, but seem have zero intention to implement these features. Also camera pixels has the ability to LOCK the shutter speed in video to achieve and actual 180 shutter angle when recording video. Allowing ISO to change dynamically and extremely fast. You - ProcCam 4, and 5 - only allow the user to set the shutter Manuel - in video -to achieve the desired shutter angle, even worse the iso can’t be set to AUTO when shutter speed is in Manuel - in video mode -. So when recording, this desired setup only allows the user to change iso Manuel. Creating pretty UN-Smooth exposition change / gradation when recording. Also, please implement a more Manuel long exposure, instead of always blowing iso outa wack when detecting a really dark scene. AND PLEASE ALLOW 4K MAX video to be uploaded to google drive / similar services when pressing that share button.

4. 2/5Used to love it, not anymore!

   This is the only camera I use on my iPad and has been all the way back to when I had the first version of it. I will very likely continue to buy all future versions of it as well! I find this one, ProCam 3, to be my favorite release yet and the easiest to understand and use. I have a real DSLR camera that I've never been very good with and, I kid not, when I say THIS app has made me better with the real thing! I highly recommend it!! I'm using it on an iPad Air 2 and never had any crashes or other difficulties with it. UPDATE: The video is completely unreliable. Sometimes it saves your videos, other times they just vanishes into thin air. I took a video over a year ago now that was of my son playing with his dog, that video never saved and was lost. Thru tragic means we lost that dog days later and I can never have that moment back, nor look back on it because I trusted this app! I picked it up again for the first time since losing that video and gave it another shot. I recorded 3 videos of my baby girl playing in our living room and one of them never saved and is simply gone. I will never use this app again for taking a video. I urge you not to trust it either or you could lose precious memories too! Due to reading other reviews, I'd also like to point out that my videos not saving were NOT due to a crash. The app has NEVER crashed on me. It's always, on the outside, worked flawlessly and never gave an indication that my video did not save until I went to watch it and it was missing.

5. 5/5Amazing & absolute must have app

   It’s rare when I’m really blown away by an app (paid or free) and there are many where one wonders if it is even worth space on their phone (like some poorly developed apps that don’t really provide good function or UI or say on the other case Facebook with it’s 300MB install size). This is easily one of the absolute best and must have apps out there for its category/purpose. Have had it for years and I have always been impressed. Really does help unlock the features & power of your iPhone camera. There are really a ton of great other features I do suggest investing the time to look at their tutorials/documentation to understand & take advantage of all of the features and functions under the hood. Aside from all of the awesome pre/post features and controls for photo and video - one simple thing that is absolutely my favorite for years is the ability to easily control video resolution and size. Often for web purposes, Ultra4k, 1080p, and even 720p aren’t required in some situations for videos (when traveling for example where taking lots of photos, panos and videos, sometimes we may need to document something by video and take longer videos but don’t need to output them in high res), this is great to capture moments but helps save space rather than simply using iOS’ default built-in resolutions.
