   I recently discontinued birth control as my partner and I were planning to have a child. I’m 38 and have not had any kids yet. My periods have always been pretty regular, but after TTC (fairly casually) on our own, there was no success after two months. So I figured I should get the combination ovulation tracker/ hCG tests to be more precise. Premom had some decent reviews and it was fairly cheap. My ovulation occurred a later in my cycle (CD18) than the “projection” and even though my T/C ratio was reading “low” the app was telling me i was ovulating. I thought the readings just weren’t accurate. It wasn’t until I checked my cervical mucus that I knew my ovulation was near and then I started testing again and my reading became “high” and then “peak” as described in the instructions. So it was a bit discouraging as the calendar projection took an additional week to actually match my cycle based on my test readings. And as other reviews have stated, the hCG tests aren’t very clear. After my missed period I noted the slightest faint positive line but wasn’t sure if my eyes were deceiving me. I waited another two days and it appeared to be positive but still very very light. So I ended up getting a Clearblue test to confirm and it’s positive! I’m very excited to experience my first pregnancy, and considering how cheap the tests are for the amount of strips you receive, and a free version of the app, I think it’s worth it. Understand no one’s cycle is on a perfect schedule. But just be patient with yourself! Continue to read the color difference on the strips rather than solely depend on what the app tells you to do!

2. 1/5Was okay, now no better than the rest

   I’ve been using the pre-mom app for probably a little over three or four months now. It wasn’t completely free but there was some things that you could still use like asking AI personalized questions pertaining to your cycle data, now it’s not enough that you buy their test strips (which come with a pamphlet that say free app..ha) and their BBT thermometer but now you have to pay to even use the AI, unless you wanna use the free version which is absolutely useless. You could just use Google and probably get better results. So, basically you’re just inputting your data for nothing yeah you might be able to see and predict when your period may start but that’s about it. I’ve used flow for years and they are not free but they predicted my period better than pre-mom, so I’ll probably just stick with flow. This app is obviously no better than the rest of them that want women to pay to use their services. Some women cannot afford to pay for an app or to spend multiple trips at a doctors office, so it was just kind of nice to have some kind of answers even though I know AI is not medically inclined to give medical advice but you could still put in your symptoms or ask it to check your cycle data for the month and it would give you suggestions on what it could be, but like I said google would do the same thing and Google is free. I do not recommend this app anymore. Maybe one day there will be an actual free app that women across the board will be able to use confidently.

   This test and app has helped me soooooo much with my body I’ve been out of wack (mentally) thinking i wasn’t ovulating even set an appointment with doctors to check so happy I went this route first I started testing the day after my period (my cycles ranges between 28-35 days, I know it’s crazy) cause it’s difficult and I didn’t want to miss a beat so days 1-4 i tested low the numbers started out at 0.3 then 0.19 and started to rise on day 3 it was 0.21 I was a little discouraged because it wasnt that high from the day before but on day 4 it was 0.43 😃 but it still detected I was low but I was happy seen that my numbers doubled it gave me hope I was on the right track day 5 it went down one 0.42 but again I tested late (I work long hrs no breaks) this is day 6 and I’m 1.21 and MY c line beat the Test line on the strip!!! I almost fell off the toilet 🚽 I haven’t seen this on a test in YEARS! So anxious to know if this is really true I went out and bout a clear blue digital ovulation test and I am at my PEAK!!! My eyes are still watered because I thought I was a woman that wasn’t able and needed more (meds,doc visits,etc.) and this test and app has been dead on while my other app was saying I didn’t ovulat for another 12 days turns out I started ovulating within 5 days after my period so glad I made this choice!!!!

4. 4/5Amazing App, but Hate the Latest Update

   The app was recently updated for a new look. It has a few positives (like more easy to tell the months apart on the calendar), but a lot of negatives - the indicators in the calendar of key days (bbt spike, LH spike, BD, and CD) have become super super tiny symbols that are hardly legible even for a young person with a giant phone! They used to be a full color on the day or a larger symbol that made it a lot easier to look at the calendar as an overview. It also entirely erased PDG results from the calendar and you can only see it in the test tab now. And it got rid of flow ratings which I was very reliant on!! And the new features are odd - a check mark when you enter data for a day and a squiggly line on some days that are not value added. And the home screen now has a graph but it doesn’t serve much purpose over the full graph tab and instead just makes the buttons for inputting data smaller (notes, bbt, symptoms). The biggest button is to jump to the test screen, which is not needed because it is the same as clicking the graph tab one inch away. I miss the old format of the app and wish I could go back. The old app was almost perfect. Overall it still tracks your cycle very well and the opk reading is unique and very value added. I do recommend the app, but I hope the next update takes more of this user experience into account.

5. 5/5TTC w/Irregular Cycles

   I have always had irregular periods and before TTC, I never tracked ovulation or anything else for that matter. I started tracking ovulation last month and I was feeling discouraged and impatient because I kept getting “LOW” test results so I stopped tracking until after I got my period again as a NEW CYCLE BEGINS. To give you context, I had my iud removed October 2019 and my periods used to last 14 days exactly and were very heavy, so I thought I wasn’t ovulating at all to begin with. However, they regulated to 5 days long and normal bleeding for the past 3 cycles. After this last cycle ended I decided to test immediately after my period ended to catch ovulation. It was LOW at first but then two days after my period on CD 13 I got my 1st HIGH TEST RESULT!!! So, I tested 3 times a day to see if they would stay up and if I would get my PEAK!! I tested morning, noon and night and low and behold I got my PEAK AT NOONTIME!!! My PEAK was HIGH .85!!! I know a lot of apps and people on the internet say to test 10 days after your period ends but because I have irregular periods I didn’t want to do it that way and it worked out in my favor!!! These tests can be confusing for beginners like myself to understand but hang in there and keep testing because it WORKS!!! I kept all my tests and dated them and put the time I took them on the packaging, & I only marked the ones that were “high” with a HIGH on the packaging so I know for my next cycle as well.
