4/5It’s almost perfect
Does everything I need, cross platform logins, read multiple formats, save multiple bookmarks, a lot more. The thing is Im on Apple SE 2nd Gen and for the life of me I can’t figure out the touch gesture for exiting to main menu or pulling up options and table of contents once Im reading a book full screen. I’ve tried swiping all over the reading, which just changes pages and outside the area, holding down but it just highlights words and gives note taking options, Ive used multiple finger gestures. It just never works anyway and then it will randomly work or I have to exit whole app to exit reading but then sometimes it will take me back to main menu or just start me back in full screen reading mode and I just keep touch gesturing around the screen until the options, table of contents and back arrow pulls up. Is this just me? Or my phone not fully compatible? Developer what’s the touch gesture for exiting full screen mode to back out to my library?

5/5A Wonderful App! Just one question…
I love how Pocketbook lets me read both CBRs and PDFs. It’s a dream come true, especially with so many reading options. I especially appreciate how the app saves my placement when reading something. I just wish there was one feature that could be included: naming books. Can you allow for custom naming? I like giving my books nicknames with numbers so I can easily remember which order to read them in. (Book 1, Book 2, Book 3, etc). But even if I rename the file itself, the name for the book doesn’t change. For example, say that I have some Harry Potter books. I take the third book and rename the PDF file to “Harry Potter 3”. But when I open the file in Pocketbook, it still calls it “Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban”. As someone who often loses track of book order, this is quite frustrating, especially since the app sorts the books (even within groups) alphabetically. At the very least, allow for more customization when sorting books, like maybe moving them around (within a group) manually.

1/5No way to save formatting settings and ebooks take an age to load
I was looking for an alternative to another ebook reader app for iOS, and while I love the UI of this one, it's extremely frustrating that ebooks take FOREVER to load (like a minute before you can start reading after opening the book for the first time, even for short books), and there is no way that I can find to permanently set the formatting for the ebook, for example, to increase the line height or font size. If you leave the ebook and immediately reopen it, the formatting is reset to the book's default. I googled around to see if there's a way to do this and it doesn't seem like it, although the app's settings and tooltips are lacking enough that I would believe there's a way, it's just not called out anywhere that I can see. There's also no way to bulk-download books via OPDS, and each book you download opens a download progress dialogue (instead of proceeding with the download in the background), which blocks you from downloading any other books in the meantime, and after the download completes opens the book, requiring you to back out of the book before you can download another. Overall a pretty app with some pretty awful usability issues!

3/5Almost perfect
This would be a great app if you could organize your books into your own custom categories. In this app, you have to sort your books by “is read”, “reading now”, “to-read”, etc. It would be helpful if we could create our own categories to put our books into. For example, I need to separate my spiritual books from my mystery books, my school textbooks from my knitting books. Next time you update, please allow us to edit and name our own categories, and allow us to organize our books into our own shelves or files. I want to be able to separate my non-fiction from my fiction. It would make the layout more simple, easier, faster, and convenient to access. The organization would be less of a pain and more of a shortcut. Otherwise, the app is perfect, easy on the eyes, easy to utilize tools while you read, and the auto scroll is a life saver. You even have text to speech with customizable settings, voices, and languages. It’s a great app overall, but the organization system is seriously non-convenient. Especially for people who read a lot of books.

3/5The app desperately needs one button and that is a return to home while in any book
I am giving it 3 stars for this mainly because I have an updated iPhone and I am using the pdf books loaded into the files on my phone. When I go into any book and press on the left side the book will go back to the cover. You can make a saved spot in your book. The app functions well except for one tiny little thing. How do I exit the book so I can load a new book? You press and hold your finger down and a menu bar appears. For copy the screen, send or share the book, look up doing a search on the book and a dictionary. Then there are 5 colored balls that do nothing. So I am in the book and want to make sure my other book is loaded and I can’t get out of the book. I had Google search how to exit the book, it didn’t have a good answer. I opened the app several times hoping to beat the book loading and hit a menu button and gave up for a while then came back and got it to stop loading the book long enough to get to the main page. You would think the holding your finger down would bring the menu up with a “return to main screen” button link. Ok add that and I will be happy and give it 5 stars. Also for book reading maybe a better offer or link to a second app for reading the pages back as well

nice app. the only one on Android that can zoom in and out like you do on a website like eboox app. and you don't need to import your documents like eboox. the only one missing is a list overview when you search something in a book. eg: in eboox, you search for a word in epub and it shows a list of sentences that have that word but pocketbook only jump to that word and you can only navigate with arrows to jump from each result. can you add a search overview list option in the next update. thz.
