1. 2/5Was good but now not

   I’ve had this app for a quiet a few years, and I’ve had this subscription, and I’ve been very happy with this app because of the way you could track the flights I could go to the map and I could follow the flight of my family members as they went through their trip also would tell me when they were boarding and window everything when the plane when it left, it was laid if it was early now I don’t tell me any of that I can’t even go to the map and find that particular flight I had I had it on the flight and the flight left an hour later and it’s still not showing up on the map is showing the line of the track it’s going, but the flight wasn’t there I didn’t see no updates when they were boarding or nothing so I canceled my subscription was good before they updated it. It looks better. Of the options that I liked about this app. Sad.

2. 1/5Another bait & switch from paid app to subscription based

   I hate it when I as a customer, purchase an app on the iTunes Store and at the time I purchased the app it was a one time purchase for life. Yet after the fact (purchase) the company decides to change their business model from a pay once and own for life over to a subscription based model. To me this is akin to a bait and switch, after the fact, and leaves the customer out in the cold, i.e., the app that I originally purchased under a plan of pay once, use for life, is now changed to a subscription model, but only one side agreed to do this change, after the fact. Customers who purchased under the original buy once, good for life, should be grandfathered away from the firm’s subscription model, for this wasn’t the model we originally bought into. The ethics and morals of such a business practice are inherently unfair to their original customers👎😡!

3. 1/5Too many ads!

   This app has way too many ads! What’s extremely annoying is the fact that quite often a full page ad will suddenly pop up and take the entire screen. This full page ads popping up are already extremely annoying. I don’t mind some ads considering the app is free but I feel like these are aggressive type of ads : it takes the entire screen space and it’s often hard to find the little X button you are supposed to click to close the ad. I think it’s the first or second time I write a review. But this was simply way too annoying and I had to write a comment about it. A little bit advertising is okay but too many ads and on top of this tricky ones are not okay! UPDATE TO MY REVIEW AFTER DEVELOPER RESPONSE : The developer of the app has answered that “these functionality limitations in the app are compensated by the fact that it’s free.” The problem is that the answer is off topic : I am not talking about functionality limitations but what I consider to be borderline advertising harassment. When I say borderline, I actually believe that the way some of the ads appear cross the line : for example, the ad appear full page and it’s almost impossible to see the close button (the small X) because it’s almost the same color as the ad’s background color. I don’t mind some ads but not that kind of ads which from my personal opinion is more a form of harassment to trick me to click on places I don’t want. I also forgot to mention that many of these annoying ads seemed to have been for gambling websites.

4. 1/5Not worth the time

   I cannot properly evaluate this apps functionality in free mode, because every 3rd touch of the screen pops up very annoying loud game ads. More than one; at least two every time. Yes, I know I can select free trial of full features to get rid of them. But I do not want to go through that hassle, including not forgetting to unsubscribe in 3 days if I don't want it. The developer's high pressure business model is flawed and reflects a lack of understanding of his customer. He would get more subscriptions if he allowed the person to evaluate the app in peace without signing up for the free trial. Then after a few days, begin the harassment, if you must. But as it is, it is too disturbing to take the time to evaluate. I write this knowing he is reading these. Too bad. It looked like it might have been a good about to have. But it is not worth the hassle.

5. 1/5Not worth the money!

   I originally bought this app because I live on the landing pattern for Detroit Metro (DTW). The first year I had the app, it was great! I could sit on my deck and watch (and track) flights coming in and out of DTW. Within the last 3-4 months however the app has gone downhill quickly. Planes will fly over the house and not show up on the tracker, wrong flight numbers, incorrect maps, etc. I have sent numerous emails to customer service regarding my issues and basically I was brushed off. I really can’t justify paying $4.99 a month for an app that doesn’t work properly. UPDATE: Just received an email wanting me to reach out to the support team for help. Are you serious?!?!? The “support team” has been well aware of these issues for at least 3 months now since I have emailed them on 3 separate occasions. And only now they want to take me seriously (or try to save face) after I left a bad review of their crappy app. Sorry, too late. You have had ample time to correct the issue and basically ignored me. I’ve canceled my subscription and removed the app from my devices. Absolutely horrendous customer service.
