Three new stages are here! Scale Guess Name the notes of a flowing single-line melody by ear, do-re-mi style. Takoyaki Memory Flip the takoyaki and pair up the matching tones—a memory game of sound. Arpeggio Guess A chord is played note by note as an arpeggio. Catch each note in order. These three stages unlock together with a single one-time purchase (each one is free to try first). We also refreshed the iPad home screen layout and fixed minor issues. Thanks for using Harmonize!

You can now change the app icon! From Settings, pick any of six character icons — Ebifurya, Kakifurya, Murugai, Takoyaki, and two Unicchi designs. They are all free. We also refreshed the default icon with a new Ebifurya design. The characters got a visual upgrade too: brighter eyes, and a glossier look for Unicchi. We also redesigned the ad-removal and purchase screens for clarity, gave the weekly ranking a new look, and fixed several minor issues. Thanks for using Harmonize!

New "Moon" training stage! On the airless Moon, notes don't sound together—so you match pitch from memory, without beats to guide you (an advanced mode). The first three categories are free; unlock the rest by progressing or with a one-time purchase. - You can now switch the app's display language in Settings (Japanese / English / Chinese (Simplified & Traditional) / Spanish / French) - Added Spanish and French localization - Refined the settings button design to blend in better - Fixed minor issues and improved stability

We have significantly reworked our sounds. The piano, electric piano, guitar, and chord tones have been rebuilt for a more realistic, natural resonance. - You can now preview a tone the moment you select it. Melody stages also let you pick instruments intuitively from their illustrations. - Added a reverb effect. You can turn it on or off from Sound Settings. - Added a tone-change button to the Takoyaki stage as well. Look and feel improvements: - Redesigned the Settings screen with a calm, easy-on-the-eyes dark theme. - Added German and Korean. - On the rhythm result screen, we aligned the order of "Example" and "Your rhythm" to make comparing them clearer. - Reworked how locked categories are shown so it is easier to see what you can play. - Various minor bug fixes. Goldfish Scooping grows to 20 questions! The question book expands from 12 to 20. Later rounds pack up to 8 goldfish into the tub, putting your ear for timbre to the test. The advanced "Shadow Tub" stall is available with PRO. A new taiko drumming stage, "Mimic Taiko," arrives! Listen to the rhythm Sensei Murugai plays, then tap it right back — a call-and-response stage. A new stage for the low end: "Low Register"! Tune intervals in the bass range — octaves, fifths, fourths and major thirds — the way a bassist checks pitch by ear. Chord exercises corrected Fixed errors where some augmented and diminished triad exercises sounded a different chord, and one minor third exercise sounded a different interval. Those exercises now play the correct chord. See the role of every note Double Stop, Moon and Low Register now show what each sounding note does in the chord — root, third, fifth and so on. Chord examples also play one note at a time and then all together, so it's easier to hear which notes are stacked. Ebifurya and Kakifurya: - Both close their eyes and listen while the example plays - Ebifurya's expression on the result screen now changes with your star count Columns added to Settings: Short reads about how sound works are now available inside the app, and more will follow. See which question you are on Takoyaki, Scales, Arpeggios, Silence and Goldfish Scooping now show the question number, like "Question 3/12". You can tell at a glance whether "Next" moved you on or you are replaying the same one. iPad layout fixes: - The stars on the result screen are now centered - In Scales, the row of confirmed notes is no longer hidden behind the moon - In Double Stop and Moon, the question label at the bottom no longer overpowers the "note to match" badge - In the tutorial, Kakifurya, the speech bubble and the buttons are now sized for the larger screen Also: - Fixed a spot near the bottom center of the tutorial that did not make a sound when touched - Fixed the musical note being cut off in the listening expression Thank you for using Harmonize!

The tutorial got a complete makeover! Kakifurya now appears in person, chatting through speech bubbles as she teaches you how to play. New hints kick in when you get stuck, so first-timers can find the knack of pitch-matching much faster. In the Chords stage, badges now show each note's role in the chord (root, 3rd, 5th, 7th), so you can practice while learning what shapes the harmony.
