  1. 4/5Great app!

*Update* I am going back to this app after trying many others. The “snooze” feature brings me back, because no other apps do it properly. I really wish it was formatted for my iPhone XR screen and that sometimes when I mark my pill as “taken” I didn’t have to do it twice. All in all I’m grateful that the developer keeps it in the store “as-is” rather than pulling it altogether. This app is great for reminding me to take my medication! It is relentless in not allowing me to forget even if I'm busy, which is important since my medication is time sensitive. Also, the time can be extended a little by "snoozing" which is nice if im busy. And for those who don't like this feature, the author added an option to turn off the "snooze" feature, which returns app to previous functionality of leaving you with a notification or badge! Love that I have variability in dosages and times of dose, and that I can mark my "wellness". Thanks do much for this!

  2. 5/5Great App!

Wish the developer was still updating, but this is *still* a great app after all these years. I love that I can use pictures of my actual medication if I want (instead of just having generic graphic representations). And I love the choice of reminder sounds that are so vastly different from my regular iPad sounds that when I hear it, I know immediately it’s for my medication instead of some other reminder. If anyone ever came back to work on this, I’d love to see an “archive” section where I can save old medicines I don’t take anymore (so if my doctor asks if I’ve ever taken xyz med, I can look in the archive and see or even tell him I took it and had some kind of reaction to it in the past as a reason that I stopped). It would also be cool to have some kind of backup/restore (even if it’s to my own personal storage space) in case I want to buy a new iPad at some point so I can still have all my data history. But anyway, thanks for such a great app!

  3. 4/5Continuously Reminds to take medications

I love the feature called “Nagging Reminders” to remind user to take medication until it is marked as taken. Lot of apps on the App store don’t use that feature. Because a lot of times I just don’t care about the time and I forgot to take medication over the time, but Pillboxie keeps on reminding me every minute until I take it. If the development team continued to develop it, this app would be in top 10 medication reminders for sure.

  4. 5/5Still the Best Medicine reminder out🩵💊

I’ve been using this app for over 7 years. Pillboxie is easy to use to remember my medication. Other medicine reminders are complicated and not as customizable and visibly appealing. That’s one of my favorite features. The photos I use. Also Scheduling a reminder is easy by just dropping a pill into a pillbox. I also love that you don’t have to have Wi-Fi connection to use it. Always reminds me of schedule even when the phone is on sleep mode. Just a great app to have.😃

  5. 2/5Repeat alarm setup needs work

I really need something in between "alarm that goes off once a minute (even though I can snooze)" and "no repeat alarm at all." Since my medication is to treat anxiety there was no middle ground between screaming at the once per minute feature and just flat out forgetting when I turned it off. If you're wondering, "how can that stress someone out so much," I bet you've never needed anxiety medication! Anyway, this app would be totally perfect for me if that was an adjustable feature (like every 10 minutes! 20!). Alarm-alarm-alarm-then-snooze is so irritating for me, and the alternative being no repeating at all renders it totally ineffective for me.

  • 1.2.3

✚ WHAT'S NEW ✚ ✓ New med types: Gel caps, injections. ✓ Reset Reminders Button: In certain instances, your reminders may need resetting (ghost reminders, time zone bugs, etc.). The Reset Reminders button in Settings should correct all these issues, if they still occur (see below for bug fixes). ✓ Compatibility with iOS 5. Note: iOS 5 allows you to configure notification preferences on an app-by-app basis. Go to your device's Settings app to learn more. ✚ WHAT'S FIXED ✚ ✓ Fixed a bug that occasionally caused reminders to misfire when traveling across time zones.

  • 1.3

NEW STUFF ======= - New med types! Gelcaps and injections. - Reset Reminders Button: in certain circumstances your reminders may need to be refreshed (if you've been travelling and the time zones are incorrect, or if a reminder you've deleted is still going off). Pillboxie version 1.3 is better about preventing these events, but for when they do occur, there's now a "Reset All Reminders" button in Settings that should do the trick. - Tap a med in the Medications tab to display it's details. BUG FIXES - Fixed a bug that sometimes caused time zones to be incorrect when using Pillboxie while traveling. - Fixes several bugs that caused version 1.2.3 to crash on launch. Sorry folks!

  • 1.3.1

FIXED: A bug that caused Due Today items to appear overdue much earlier than they were supposed to, in certain time zones. A special thanks to the good-looking, intelligent, and charming folks in the UK who helped diagnose this issue.

  • 1.3.2

★ WHAT'S NEW IN 1.3.2 ADDED: Two new reminder sounds, both called "Harpsichord," one long and one short. Special thanks to Chuck Sinclair for these beautiful additions! ADDED: Option to always open to Due Today tab on launch. ★ REMINDERS NOT WORKING ON iOS 5 ? iOS 5 has made changes to the way notifications are presented. You now have many options to configure, which is cool, but it ends up changing some people's defaults when they upgrade from iOS 4 to iOS 5. Go to the Settings app for your phone, then select "Notifications." Select Pillboxie from the list of apps, and make the changes you need. Please let us know if this doesn't work. We're on Twitter day and night: @Pillboxie.
