  1. 5/5The piano vs simply piano

So technically a while back when I was little my mother had purchased simply piano. It was excellent, free, and a perfect learning tool. The problem tho was that later on some songs costed money. Like what, we already payed to be able to have an account. Why do we need to buy premium. So I was like whatever I can still do some stuff. No! A few months later now everything costs money, I have to buy premium to be able to play. Very ridiculous. So this app it may not have lessons but it does teach you to play songs. It also just lets you play yourself. It’s not perfect but it is still a very good app. I recommend this app to people who would like to learn step by step and play freely. Plus, yes some settings do cost money but those are not needed. Other than that this app is a perfect learning tool. Enjoy!😁

  2. 1/5Please read this before downloading!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Okay, so I downloaded this app because I was traveling and I obviously didn’t have my piano. So I got this app that way I could practice my piano songs and not forget them. Unfortunately, this app did not work at ALL. Every time I pressed one of the keys, it took like twenty seconds for it to actually play the note. And then when I tried to record, I got this notification that said: “OOPS! LOOKS LIKE OUR RECORDING PROGRAM ISN’T WORKING!! LOOKS LIKE WE’RE A BUNCH OF IDIOTS!!” Like, seriously, I think you guys should check your app for hackers or something. Plus, if I wanted to get a lot of the important features, I had to get premium, and it was SO EXPENSIVE! I mean, I know that having a premium is how you guys make money, but really?! I was not about to pay so much money for an app that didn’t work. I actually would’ve put zero stars on this review, but I can’t do that, so I settled for one star. Anyway, the worst part is that IT DOESN’T EVEN SHOW THE WHOLE PIANO AT ONCE!! You actually have to click on different parts of the piano to be able to play in that section, which isn’t good because then it makes you lose your focus and messes up whatever song you were playing. So, people, if you are thinking about getting this app, DON’T!! I swear, it only wastes your time. Personally, I am leaving this app in the dust and looking for some other piano app, and I suggest you all do the same. PLEASE TAKE EVERYTHING I’VE SAID INTO GREAT CONSIDERATION! Because, honestly, there are probably more bugs I never stuck around to find! Thank you!

  3. 2/5Looks great, sounds pathetic.

The layout of the format looks visually appealing, but I feel that looks is not the point of a keyboard or piano, rather, it is sound quality, and I feel that this app simply did not execute the beauty of a real piano even on a conventional level. The depth and timbre was presented excusably well, but certain elements in playing notes, such as a rigid cutoff between repeated notes, has really left me feeling empty. On second point, the fact that I have to pay for instruments other than just three seemingly random and generally unused ones is rather in-generous, as Apple’s GarageBand, which comes pre-installed and subscription-free, has literally hundreds of choices for different instruments, sound design elements, and even more than just keyboards, and they’re just for implication into their music development software. The fact that an app not even specifically meant for just keyboard playing on a phone is better than this subscription-hungry app is exasperating to me, and if I wanted to pay my own good money on something like this, I’d expect much more. For now, I’m deleting this app and continuing to use GarageBand. If you already have that app, please, don’t download this.

  4. 4/5Very nice! I like it but please add this

I really like this app. I like how it shows you songs and it also lets you just free play. Something I would really like if you could add where it shows you more things than just songs, like how to read sheet music and stuff. Another thing that would make this app 10 times better is if you added MIDI support. I have my own piano and I think that it’s easier to muse the piano instead of tapping on a screen. Another thing is the way you’re supposed to time the notes on the songs. At first I thought you were supposed to tap the notes when the key lights up or when the note collided with the key, but it was actually wnen the note hits that little line above the keyboard. I didn’t really like this choice and I thought it was a bit hard to get used to so I think you should change that. But other than the problems this app has I think it is excellent. Have a nice day 🎹 🙂 Edit: something else that would be cool if if you would show how to play with both hands in the songs and not just the right hand parts.

  5. 1/5For those of you interested this app is not worth it (Use the built-in app Garage Band)

GarageBand is entirely free and has way more features and does not bug out like this Piano app. GarageBand you can use it however anyway you want and even use MIDI software on it. This app is a money. If they want to succeed at least introduce some new and unique features, otherwise this app will not surpass the built-in GarageBand. Learn that you can't downgrade an app to lock the good stuff behind a paywall when you have competitors that own the arena and offer premium features for free and have paid options that are of professional quality. If you want this app to work without scamming people out of their wallets, actually offer good quality features that you can't find in other free alternatives. I remember when Impala offered good apps that were easy and simple to use that weren't available to the iPads at the time. They are on the brink of becoming irrelevant for cloning their own apps, taking built-in iOS apps and making them look like the original but with ads, and taking existing totally free features and placing them behind a paywall and a subscription. This is not a business anymore, as it has become a con business.
