1. 2/5It just seems to harvest data

   The app is very eager to collect your personal information but doesn’t provide much in exchange; there are much better options out there for keeping track of your travels. You can’t delete or modify anything you enter - even if you delete and redownload the the app, adding a country to the list of visited destinations requires including travel dates and there’s no integration with the website version. It’s moderately entertaining if you don’t personalize it but a quick Google search can provide you with the same exact information without cluttering your phone. Don’t bother.

2. 1/5Can’t add second passport

   It’s incredible that I can’t add my second passport because I don’t have a phone number in that country?? What kind of nonsense is that? I select the passport from the list, can’t take a picture because it’s zoomed so far by default and can’t zoom out so I put it manually, put in my phone number (from a country different from my passport country) and it adds the passport for the country the phone number belongs to - where I DONT have a passport. This app is useless.

   Some of the advertised features are not available unless you give them your phone number. And the App Store blurb says it collects contact data “not linked to you.”?!? Contact data for you is ALWAYS linked to you, obviously. And if it supports applying for a visa, then obviously that requires collecting data linked to you!

4. 5/5Great app!!!

   As a dual citizen who holds US/MEX passports I honestly say that Passport Index has done a good job in bringing a clean app with features that are enough to get you scrolling and expanding your citizenship portfolio in terms of obtaining dual citizenship or if you have multiple passports. Needless to say this would compete well against Hanley Passport Index, overall the app is good can’t complain though updates would be good in the long run!!

5. 4/5Amazing app with a few minor issues

   It has a really good look, it’s fun to explore, and most importantly the information is really accurate and up to date, and shown in a way that’s easy to visualize. The few small issues I have are with the trips feature. First, you can’t enter a trip using the passport of that country. For example, if you are American living in Canada and you log a trip to the US, it won’t accept it because it’s a US passport. Only trips to foreign countries are accepted. I also noticed that Andorra, Monaco, Liechtenstein, San Marino, and Vatican City are missing from the trips feature. It would be nice if these were added. It would also be nice if the cities in the trip feature were in alphabetical order. If it’s possible, it would also be great if the app could have some of the website features too, like viewing Dashboard for passports not on your profile, or the Improve tab, or the Travel Visa Checker. But it is overall a great app; would definitely recommend!
