1. 1/5No price until after you pay

   So many annoyances and missed opportunities. Autofill for email and credit card doesn’t work anywhere in the app. The payment part feels extremely dodgy, and the sign up email confirmation went straight to phishing spam. But worst of all, the price for parking was never shown up front. Even when you check out from the parking spot, it just presents the card you saved and says “Pay now” — without a single indication of how much. The price was finally shown _after_ the payment is processed. The transaction fee was also high, or 86 kr on top of a parking cost of 116 kr. I’d highly encourage the developers to try other parking apps and play around with them to see what’s possible here.

2. 4/5Worked great, minus 1 area.

   Not sure why all the bad reviews. Drove around the whole ring road with no issues. I was able to find the parking location, paid, and done avoiding paying machines! Only area the app didn’t work was in downtown Reykjavik. Kept saying total was zero even during hours you are supposed to pay, so we used the pay machine for that time only. *if your going to be in an area with not so great service you can always pay ahead the parking payment is for 24hrs.

3. 1/5Completely mismanaged

   After using the app for a week during my visit in Iceland, I can tell you a few things definitively: 1. There is no support if you can’t get your credit card or your second credit card or your third credit card to run in the app try Apple Cash or some non-credit card format that’s what worked for me. But no one ever responded to my inquiry, which could’ve been a problem given that most of the places we visit use the app to register and pay for parking. 2. After doing some research on the company, apparently they have multiple ongoing litigation with the Iceland government for more or less bad business practices where they have either intentionally lead folks to think that they are in a parking area or. By putting cameras in a place to scare people into paying instead of getting a bill from the rental car company later. 3. Klasek application is not receiving any care or advancement because they simply don’t have to. They’ve got the contracts and visitors are forced to use it. Bad luck for them and it’s a bad look for Iceland.

4. 1/5Unscrupulous and unnecessary

   Almost every tourist site parking lot has a pay kiosk, making the single-time fees much cheaper than signing up for a monthly subscription. Worse, the vendor is unscrupulous. I canceled my subscription at 1:00 AM on the first day of the month after my trip, and customer service refused a refund, insisting on charging me for the entire month. Save your money and just use the kiosks and pay single time fees if you need to use this app.

5. 2/5It needs work!

   We have been using the Parka app while in Iceland and it extremely glichy! Even the Parka machines at Geysir were super glichy! They take a couple times to start working, then when you are ready to pay it just sits there, thinking about it. The app is even worse. I can’t tell you many times I had to restart the app to try to get it to work. Unfortunately, it’s the main parking app in Iceland.
