  1. 5/5One of the best apps for Bible study

I love this app. It’s one of the few that doesn’t have ads, just gives different versions of the Bible in different sects and languages. I’ve used it to compare KJV, NKJV, Amplified Classic, Amplified 2015, NRSV, NASB, NIV, NLT, and others. It’s great to compare as many as four or five different versions side by side, because in many of the versions listed, one makes a difference. I think there has been a Bible version that I wished they had (maybe Berean standard Bible), but it has been outstanding. I also love reading it in night or dark mode. It’s easily labeled, you jump to the book, chapter and verse, and boom, you can see and compare all the versions, verse for verse. It will even show you which versions have which verses omitted (the NIV and NLT and a lot of the newer contemporary versions besides the KJV, AMPC and NKJV, and maybe NRSV or NASB have had that). It will also show which have apocrypha (additional books to the Catholic Bible that are not in the Protestant, after the Reformation). Get this app! And it’s free! It also loads quickly. Thank you for making a great app! Please continue to add versions, like the Jewish standard Bible or Hebrew to English translation. Thank you!

  2. 5/5Extraordinary tool

I frequently read and refer to the original languages. This app has many of the key features found in expensive desktop software used by seminary students and professors. I usually set it up either with the original text next to an English version, or with just the original text. Either way I’m able to click on the original and instantly display either all the instances of that word in the original, or a morphological parsing with gloss of each word in the verse. In addition, I recently had a minor issue with the display of a small diacritical mark in Hebrew… some people wouldn’t care, but I thought I would see if they could fix it. I wrote to the developers, and in less than 48 hours there was a new version of the app that correctly rendered the dageshim I wasn’t seeing. Bravo. I highly recommend Parallel Plus.

  3. 5/5The Parallel Bible app

I love having several different translations of the Bible available when I want to study or simply read. This app makes that possible and practical. Currently, I have six versions of the Bible loaded, which means whenever I want to view a particular passage, I choose the book, chapter, and verse, hit “Go” and the app brings up the desired passage in all six versions, side by side. No longer do I have to juggle physical copies of the Bible when I want to study — huge timesaver! Plus, it’s easy to scroll through the whole chapter and move to previous or subsequent chapters at will. After installing the versions one chooses, he/she can easily switch to others if desired simply by replacing an installed version with another from the list of many versions available. I highly recommend this app to everyone who is serious about studying the Word!

  4. 5/5This app surpassed my expectations.

The way the application is set up, is extremely basic and simple, definitely needs to be updated in several aspects. However the content itself, once you figure out what book versions to pick from a wide range and variety of past versions in time. Then your choices are your home page and your asked to type your chapter and or verse your trying to compare and it shows the different versions from each book, exactly how they were written to my belief. I’ve found the app informative and useful, and interesting. It’s extremely helpful when I’m trying to under my current newer written bible, making sure I thoroughly understand my studies and receive the correct message and feel a lot more comfortable and reassured with my understanding of each chapter and verse with the help of this useful app. Great tool for bible study, and a broader understanding. I enjoy using this app its one of my main resources or tools I use definitely a must have for me when I’m trying to understand something that doesn’t seem to make sense or I would like to try and figure out the purpose. Please update.

  5. 5/5Simple design works with SCREENREADER for Side by side Bible verse translations!

Thanks for the direct side by side layout that WORKS WELL with my iPhone's built in screenreader. I can listen and clearly tell verse by verse and track with my mind where we are in side by side verses without even seeing the screen. I *can* see the screen most days, so I know the screenreader is accurately following the layout. This is exceptional how well the app in its current form works with the built in screenreader on iPhone. If you think about making future design changes please consider how well the simplistic current layout works with the accessibility options like screenreaders that don’t always flow so nicely with content of this type. If you want verse by verse side by side that works with the iPhone built in screenreader ⚡️and makes sense when read aloud, yep. You’ve found it here. Thanks for the app, y’all! Eternal thumbs up! 👍
