Paku - Air Quality & AQI Map

This update brings a brand new App Intent with support for getting real-time data for any data point supported by Paku from any sensor. This means you can access that data in Shortcuts, through Siri, with the Action Button, and more.

Fixes a bug where the location button did not work on iPad, and sensors would not load until the map was manually panned.

## New - Readings now blend into a heatmap layer when zoomed out, making it easier to understand air quality across a large area. - Live Activities are redesigned with a history chart, can start automatically when AQI crosses a threshold, and are now updated by the server — so they stay fresh while you're stationary or after the app is closed, and follow the nearest sensor as you move. - AirNow sites show PM2.5, PM10, and ozone readings, use a government building icon, and open a full detail sheet with per-pollutant readings and EPA guidance. - Alerts notify you again each time air quality reaches a more serious level, not just the first time it crosses your threshold. - The app checks for new PurpleAir sensors on every launch instead of once a week. - Sensors and places you search for are saved as recent searches. - Updated Mac layout, with sensor details open in a floating panel next to the sidebar. ## Improved - VoiceOver and Dynamic Type support have been greatly improved, and map markers now grow with your text size. - Voice Control users can open favorites, nearby sensors, and search results by speaking the sensor or place name. - The map re-centers on your location when you return after being away for a while. - Indoor sensors are marked with a gray ring instead of a house icon, similar to the PurpleAir website. - Sensors fade as their confidence drops — on the map and in charts — so you still see the reading and its color instead of flat gray. - Map pins abbreviate extreme AQI values, condense wide readings, and have improved contrast. - The sensor detail screen is redesigned, with actions in a new bottom toolbar, distance to the sensor, and an indicator when channels are downgraded. - The map no longer jumps around when opening sensor details. - Chart data binning is improved, so spikes remain visible instead of being smoothed out. - Trend arrows are more accurate, and react to changing values more quickly. - Tapping the Live Activity on Apple Watch opens the Paku watch app. - Widget configuration has been improved, and the sensor picker now suggests your favorites and nearby sensors. - Readings hovering around your threshold no longer ping-pong between bad-air and improvement alerts. - Nearby sensors are picked from within a 10 mile radius (down from 30 miles), so widgets, Siri, alerts, and the menu bar show more relevant readings. - Smart Select no longer falsely flags sensors as outliers or ping-pongs between sensors with similar readings. - Nearby alerts and the Live Activity share one location monitor, so running both costs half as much battery. - Improved sensor detail layout on Apple Watch, and the watch widget can now surface automatically in the Smart Stack. - On iPad, Settings presents as a narrower centered sheet, and selecting a sensor in portrait centers it above the sheet. - Readings update more frequently, and search, sensor details, and Live Activities no longer hitch while loading. - Private sensors now show hardware IDs, when each was last seen, and a status tag. - Settings are reorganized around new Map Display and AQI Settings pages. - Offer codes can be redeemed from within the app. ## Fixed - Fixed an issue where a sensor opened via a push notification or widget would fail to load. - Fixed the map going blank after changing settings, pins showing stale or cached readings, and sensors lingering from areas you had panned away from. - Fixed temperature gauges pointing at the wrong spot in widgets, and the temperature trend arrow being stuck for people using Celsius. - Fixed map search matching sensors differently than alerts, the watch app, and widgets. - Fixed the App Store review prompt asking too often. - Mac: the menu bar app starts from your last known location, refreshes reliably while loading, and quitting it now turns off the setting instead of coming back at the next login. - Countless small bug fixes and performance improvements.
